The knee thing is just rubbish.
Problem with knees is using to big gearing. To be honest most entry level, recreational bikes should be sold without a big ring.

TJ you do blame people not reading your post correctly but you do the same with mine. I am not the only one who had problem breathing with the switchblade everyone I know who tried one said it’s fresher and not as restrictive to breath without one.

mrs mugsy did you get a RRP price for France?

Perfectly possible to design a chinbar that was in contact with the chin and did not interfere with breathing.

I beg to differ. I have been using a switchblade for years (basically 4 until the helmet cracked), and I found that the chin bar did interfere with my breathing climbing without the helmet/chinguard felt ‘fresher’ than with the chinguard. I am not the only one who though that on, all riding friends did too.

mrs mugsy I am going to uk in april.
how much is the postage inside of france?
If you can get it deliver to UK (southampton I can get it and post it from france if you want.)

    Reg Juan

P.S. did you know they would apparently be imported in france through velo 26.

CFH I just had a look on wiki and it’s not very clear, but as far as I could read, eurofighter started as a collaboration between UK, France and germany before the project saw france pulled up. So that is probably why both plane look very similar. I have no time to get more accurate resources, but I’ll try to pop to the library this week

    juan

well they look very alike, if you compare the shape and dimension from wiki it’s obvious the planes share the same “frame”. Plus before coming to soton never heard about the eurofighter, hence the question.

scu98 it has always been like that. Booing wasn’t meant to be nasty to be honest.
I remember in scotland 4 years ago in the comp cat, a girl didn’t get to ride one of the steps, so she pushed down. A jey-hey arrived had to stop and start shouting abuse at her, no need to say the DH crowd as you call it bullied the shit out of him for abusing the “pichounette”

How exactly do you propose any worthwhile results could be obtained from such anecdotal stories where there is no firm evidence of the veracity?

Well helmet manufacturers probably can relate the force of the impact to the state of the helmet.

There is something that strikes me in most of the studies.
None actually takes into account the typical ‘helmet save my life’ case like plenty mention above.

I think t would be interested to have figures from bell/met/giro in how many crash replacement per year they cover, and how many off them end up in the hospital.

Without doubt, the “coolest” cold war plane (in fact coolest plane ever, even including Concorde IMO) is the Lockheed Martin Blackbird SR71.

    Yup very nice plane indeed.

Isn’t the eurofighter a downgrade rafale?

Breakneckspeed – if you had no injury with a helmet then you would have only had a minor injury without one.

Yes so wear a helmet then? Prevent you from having a minor injury and pass the cost onto the society. Or am I being daft to think that?

I am arguing for my right not to wear one when I don’t want to as cycling as a whole is not a dangerous pursuit.

So you campaign for the right not to wear a crash helmet on the motorcycle? After all it’s no more dangerous for bike.

    thanks guys :D
It’s not to dine on but to have in my entrance and I have been toying with this idea since I was 7 (first read about it in a belgian comics probably unknown to anyone here)
So basically not a lot of weight on it, biking kit + crash helmet max.

    Thanks

Well they are asking these information after I have booked.
During check in they only have my ID in hand a few seconds, so I have doubt they store everything.

    juan

They’ll have it anyway when you check in

Not stored somewhere that really worries me

Well what is happening to such details?
I can’t even find a link on the easy jet website about why is it for.

Plus Why don’t they ask fro these inormations before I pay for the flight

Druidh they want the full details of the ID I’ll be using.
Number type of ID validity date etc etc.

Aracer once again it doesn’t matter as the number will be hugely different. Even if ti’s per time spend on your bike. It actually biased it more as you spend more time on your feet then on your bike. It’s like comparing the injuries per kms doesn’t make any sense either. But I am not going to keep on fighting about that…

    juan
    Free Member

Well i am not leaving the UK I am getting into the UK… Plus it’s not details about where and what, but my ID.
I am quite worried, specially since that stuff appeared after I paid for my flight.
I’ll stop to the airport tomorrow and try to investigate

See mike my point you cant just compare it.

EDIT D’ooh didn’t see your last post on that I agree.

    juan

    just answer the question mike…
now consider there is 10 000 207 per year in britain and 60 porshe cayenne.
Would you compare the probability of having one stolen with respect to the other then?

    juan
    Free Member

Well you lot really makes me laugh
I’ll give you a clear example.
Let say there is 1000 207 stolen every year in britain.
Let say there is 20 porshe cayenne stolen every year in britain.

which one got the most probability of getting stolen?

Pedestrians are at greater risk of head injury PER TIME SPENT DOING THAT ACTIVITY (capitals used for the hard of understanding). It is you that fails to understand the statistics.

My point about statistics exactly. It doesn’t matter if it’s by km walk or time spend walking. The massive number of pedestrians is going to make comparison irrelevant.
