    But somehow saying you should wear the best available as a motorcyclist is questioned?!

    */waving TJ card/*
    It’s a bit like having a helmet on a cycle… See plenty on here says it’s useless…
    It’s my point of view about leather suits. Unless you are on a racetrack I don’t thinkg a leather suit is going to be much more protective when withign the first 10 meter of a fall you’re going to end up under a lorry.
    Or down the mountain. I dont think a leather trousers is going to offer you more protection that a kevlar jeans when your leg is going to be trapped between a car and the ground.
    */end of waving TJ card/*

    But as for the OP It’s easier to convert summer clothes into winter one than converting winter clothes into summer ones.

    Well what protection does a leather offer that a textiel does not when!

    you get under a car/lorry?
    hit a lamppost/pedestrian fence safetyrail?
    get bounced under cars on a motorway?
    end up 100 meter lower down the mountain?

    I can see how does a leather protects you from being turned into a pizza due to the frictions but I cant see a leather be more protective in the cases above which are saddly what is going to happen to you outside the track.

    ok then I was going to say unless you race on track no point in a full leather suit but you said no talks about crashes

    If you are paranoid about it dragging jeans. if not cheap and rough jeans will do.
    I use some alpinstar ‘trainer like’ shoes fro summer and just a tshirt under my jacket. If it’s really really hot I’ll remove the inside layer. Some light gloves

    well if I was a uk tax payer i’d rather have my tax used to improve someone loft rather than to pay thugs with yellow jacket and silver strips on their shoulders.

    lewin are crap in terms of shape. I have a slim fit shirt one size smaller from the collar and shoulders are a too long and you could fit two like me belly wise. Unless it’s me that has a weird shape but I don’t think so…

    2 cant see why as far as you use IS if it’s not centered, a couples of shims on the disk should do

    I wouldn’t want to miss the “race”, but I am not too fuss about the sock wrestling.
    Other option would be to come back on the thursday, but that mean I’ll need to have someone to entertain me monday tuesday wednesday 😉

    Commute is 15km to the station then 25 minutes train and then about 5-10 minutes up top the uni
    Glass of fruit juice a fruit and a yogurt or a bowl of milk and some cereals and a cup of tea.

    Then I usually get some pain sportif at the bakers down the road but I might stop that it’s costing me quite a bit.

    Jojo’s shot is exactly what I meant…
    OT’s about the best if you are on the small side of the human scale and have a biggish bike

    France sucks, not tiem for biking no time for climbing I just miss good old UK to be honest. Weather is crap yes, food is a bit of a struggle yes, but people are way less prone to judge and much nicer…

    It’s only natural to ask yourself the question. Girls aren’t interested in me, blokes are and a lot. So I did consider it seriously. However, I found I could not. My former housemate (as gay as they come) try to sell me all of his gay friends because ‘they fancied me’. I even got some ‘offers’ for ‘a ride’ on here was quite funny though.
    But if you are looking for someone that like biking just put a wanted add in the classified… That should work.

    So short answer is if you fancy her try it… (bloody new keyborad got the tab key where the A use to be on my old one (I know no one cares))

    caliper is easiest disk is safest
    Went for the disk 😉

    juan
    Free Member

    well if it’s the mono mini (black) it’s 180. If it’s the mini it’s 185 they use a wavy disk. It’s doable to use a 185mm wavy into a 180 mono caliper, it take a little bit of grinding not much just a little bit due to the difference in the depth of the caliper;

    juan

    what caliper number?
    IIRC it’s 160/180/2000 and you may have a 203 as well.

    Ho and I replied to a small kid in the car park only to have is mum telling me:
    “Are you this crazy french from the forum”…

    in the same way the french have that blue army who basicly are sent in to bash the crap out of trouble maker.

    I suppose you are talking about the CRS, mostly used to control the crowds (read kick the shit out of the 18 years old female student that protest for their liberty to study)
    CRS they are not army they are guess what, coppers… No the most sharpest tool in the box I do concur.
    Interestingly one of my acquaintance from Judo ended up as a CRS. First time we invited him at a BBQ he spend the whole eve telling us story about
    how he and his team-mates arrested someone, put him in the truck hand cuff him to the rail and bully and scared him buy shouting at him, telling him they will kill him etc etc
    how he use to go to funfair and when grab a youngster kick him before releasing him telling him that will teach him a lesson
    how they did trash the hotel they stayed in because it wasn’t up to their standard (repairs payed guess by whom the tax payer)
    how he could now ride his fancy motorbike up to 250 km/h and when stopped show the cops card and get away with it

    He did however wondered why we did not invite him again.

    I really cant see anything/one giving me faith back in the cops…

    Now that is a thread where I can be of most use 😉
    if it’s for a short period of time 5-10 minute having the diagonal tube sitting on my shoulder is fine. If it’s for more 15-55 minutes I usually carry it resting on the rugsac, one hand holding the fork and the other arouns the seat post.

    We are talking FS here RM switch. No doubt that a HT or others bikes might have more convenient ways to be carried up.

    What adam said. When a copper act like a nobhead **** I quite not see the other telling him he/she’s acting like a thug. Plus I think complaining to the police about the police is only gonna get you more trouble, a bit like rudeboy says.

    Don’t bother reporting… Waist of time… Where will you have to go for that?

    We react to threads that are reported to us. aleighs thread was reported to me

    On the other hand as mods you should have hd the inteligence to see that the FSB is no worst than the A&A. Both aim to show picture of very good looking member of the other sex. The athletic A in A&A is merely an excuse. I don’t like any but I have enough tolerance to live and let die. People who report threads should have at least the courage/decency not to do it anonymously

    Give me a good enough reason to get rid of all these kinds of threads and I’ll happily oblige.

    Now that is very tempting… 😉
