hey most of rural gites are about 15-20 € a night with breakfast and sometimes dinne.

Then a couple of IGN1/25000 maps and you are sorted.
Usually when we go in the queyars for 3-4 days it’s about 100-150 and that include and expensive restaurant on the way in and some rafting.

Have you though that maybe they have refunded you and that it’s the bank/CC company that is holding everything up?

Plus I fail to see what do you gain in posting that on a forum? Are you trying to get andy involed?

It’s 25-30 miles to Maida Vale

I am talking of real inner london as I said little france neighbourhood. and I have measured it…
but hey some here have work to do. I just found sad that you are so obstinate sometimes… You’ll just be missing a great ride that’s it

well that is a typical journey if I cruise at 150kmh then I make the 55 minutes. But I tell you what 😉 you get your driving license first and we speak about it later 😉

On the other hand if you don’t want to ride because the new forest is more than 10 miles away from london and that scares you you dont need any excuses 😉

Plus M3/M25 to london is certainly not 25 miles 😉 eventually 25 kms…

why would I want to go on the M4?
Get in the car at juan’s house. Then drive off. 5 minutes later you’re on the M3 😉

45 minutes later (driving at 130kmh) you’re into M3/M25 juncion. You don’t have to get out of the M3… Then it’s all straight line. And on a sunday morning there is no such thing as traffic.

See school boy error… You’ve use a computer rather than your brain… That is why you’ll never be able to beat me.
I tell you what for the BB I’ll show you live with ollie’s car it’s doable;)

erm when you enter the M3 london is 70 miles away there is a straight line between the two cities, the M3 ;-). Add a couple of miles for southampton intramuros and aonther couple of miles for london intra-muros.

I have done it couple of times and the 55/65 minutes tag is spot on.

CRC have been hiring an awful lot of French people recently. Plus it looks like something I could have write myself.

So it’s not from india, but if I had to guess, i would say it’s been written by a French.

If it’s an E road it’s very likely to be a motorway.
Have a look on mappy with the option “fastest” it usually get you on the motorway, expensive but very fast.

Indeed I thank Juan for pointing out its a linguistic nuance that I as an Englishman have failed to identify which now helps me to see blacking-up and banana throwing as part of the rich history of the language and culture of Spain rather than being bigoted acts that have no place in the 21st century.

Well english must eb very difficult indeed. I do not pretend myself as a spanish culture expert, just a french bloke from spanish immigrant parents. However, when I go to spain I don’t feel more racism than when I am in UK. And as for the linguistic expression, somethign like a “****” will be considered rude and offensive in UK, Un negro (black) or un gitano which is the same won’t be considered anywhere as offensive in spain.

But hey as said earlier on, this is STW….

Do the Spanish have major racial issues?

No more than any other country I would say.
However the language is fairly different than english, and something that will shock you in english will be fairly common in spanish.

Instead of legislations being made locally, or at least nationally, around 80% of them are decided in Brussels by some bureaucrats

Yes by people you chose to vote (or not) for.

Eu allows me to go and visit my friend/family in spain, UK without the need of a passeport. Go and ride my bike 50 kms from home without the need for a complete check of me my car and my bike.

Countries such as spain/portugal have seen a massive increase of health standard thanks to EU.

I think the economic crisis would have been less important if UK had the euro currency.

One of the think I have failed to understand during my 4 years in UK is why brits seems to be so close to the US and not to the country that are around the corner…

EDIT actually in my last sentence, read english rather than brits…

I’m gonna stick with Culture ships, because they are intelligent, arbitrary, largly amoral, frakking huge and have such cool names. So there.

Well if that is what a ship should be/do I think the incal lumière ship kick ass…

Your bones are made from Carbon Fibre. They are very light, and have incredible strength, considering their weight.
No they are made of collagen and it’s as far as carbon as iron or steel can be (the wiki link about collagen is correct and well quoted).

    juan
    Free Member

I love the fact that people speak of carbon fiber when it’s most likely to be composite fiber made of kevlar/carbon/glass fiber.

And just to cut short of all the idiotic comment on F1/motoGP. They are meant to run in a complete different manner than off-road bikes. Plus most of the time they are used to gain stiffness or to solve a specific engineering problem, not to save weight as it seems to be the norm in the cycling world.

If carbon was so much good, don’t you think dh bike would be made of carbon? Or enduro bikes?

Dh boy that are too lazy/unskilled to ride something else than a DH bike and that:
    -Ride recklessly around pedestrian
-Trash the trail because these morons can’t ride down around a switchback, they feel force to ride through it digging the trail and making the switchback useless.

    **** id10t

I don’t see too much tubes around. However I can name a lot of places that have been close to bikers due to the mentioned DH boy such as Edwards and co.
