Very interesting regarding the Android app. has anyone else got experience of this? Hadn’t even thought about that. Does anyone have any experience of which different GPS add on units can be used?

Once again a crackin' weekend. The greater difference between the DH & XC was brill, both really interesting and challenging but very managable. Absolutely nackered though but that might have been the goosing about on Sat evening. Sign me up for next year – can't wait.

Last year they posted the trials and DH times on the Monday and the XC and final times on the Tuesday – I think……maybe

Thanks everyone to doing all the trial building and organising the event. Can't wait for the link route between Cragg and Lee Quarry.

On the play off of speed vs reliability i go fully on the reliability side of desicions. I run a Rolf Harris hub which is a tad wieghty over the rear end and has given me real problems with Pinch flats so recently (3 months ago) changed to the Bonti connection hardcase and haven’t had one since and i really try! Doesn’t look like a fancy mtb tyre at all and not seen another one but never fails which is the most important thing. I run a 2.1 Bonti Mudx on the front which although hums on the road it grips like anything over the moors. The xtra weight of all this obviously makes it tougher on the lungs/legs but my thought is that reliability is an increase in speed – overall. Bike worked brill over the weekend, but was also great to see such a range of kit doing the same things – such fun. Am in post weekend depression now – boo.

Thanks Ben (I’m not the sharpest brick in the pack) – yes, it was rider # 11, Mr STEINMETZ. He was finishing his 3rd lap and I my 4th so i don’t feel so bad now! I just didn’t have any lungs left and he was able to hold me off taking him, grrrr…

I crossed the line a couple of seconds after someone but it looks like i finished 20 seconds after the nearest person? Must be something about the staggered start I guess….

Does nobody like my idea of a night stage on the Saturday night? It was so much fun goosing about in the evening. I was thinking if the people with the biggest penalties from the Saturday went out first say 23:30. then everyone would get through by 01:30 but it would handicap the leaders more by having less sleep…. Also Friday night is a better drinking night anyway.

the00 said Great event – possibly best ever?

Definately the most interesting and fun. I can’t believe more people didn’t sign up for it and would hate to see it balloon into a 1000 rider event.

Never seen a fire as big as the one on Saturday night! It’s the best type of entertainment when camping. Thanks

it all helps. Especially how to unclip really quickly! (got 4 of 5)I practised the rock steps without the tape so it was a new one on me. (that’s my story and i’m sticking to it.)

Bugger, noticed liquid on one of my fox van forks after the last couple of rides. (They are 7 months old) Checking more closely this is a very light oil, also noticed i have lots of wear on the bottom of one of my stanchions. Nothing rough but deep wear. I will do the seals and foam rings check & clean as suggested here – http://www.foxracingshox.com/fox_tech_center/owners_manuals/08/eng/2008_om_eng.htm I know, I know, I should have done this after every 15 hours so wont even bother seeking a warrenty redemption. If cleaning the seals and foam doesn’t prevent the oil leak I guess i’ll be looking to upgrade to a more resiliant design. ANY IDEAS ON WHICH MAKE REQUIRES LESS MAINTENANCE? any help would be massively appreciated, Thanks
