I’m in Warrington and I’m at Ffestiniog on Sunday.

Was on email with Northwind and he’s thinks the archi and 661s share similar sizes, so I was a large in the enduro.

Measured my bonce and I’m defo 59 🙁

I may just have to hope I don’t face plant on Sunday haha

Iain1775 – I can’t seem to get an email for you.

Mine is in my profile, if its a large I may try and sort something out.

I guess a Rucksack minus Camelbak isn’t so heavy,

A tad more protection as well if not wearing spine protector!

Cheers for the heads up kimber. Looked at the 661s

    northwind

I fancy a blast on them all realky but had made the assumption you pointed out.

I had an archi (lovely helmet) and all the rest of the gubbins expected for “bigger” riding however flogged them all after mashing my knee in jan/feb.

Probably shouldnt be going haha but feeling A-Ok so though why not!

Where abouts are you? Think im about 58/59 so mediums generally ok.

**sorry not in right forum folks**

Thank you gents, I think you might be right that it’s a post mount.

Cheers gents, I’ll have to have a nosey when I get home and see if I can tighten it up a bit.

I thought it was a bit weird that it would be missing.

I think the correct terminology would be the wedge nut nut appears to be missing.

    Cheers,
    John.

Hi Bungalistic, thanks for the info I will have a nosey

    Utterly confused!!!

got the rotors and all that jazz, everything fits, which is nice however I fancied some Hope M4’s.

They appear to be IS mounts rather than PM like the Elixirs I’ve got on.

Now I don’t seem to be able to find an IS-IS Rear mount for 203’s or a PM-IS front

Am I Going mad or am I just a little stupid?

    Cheers,
    John.

By the way it’s a straight 1 1/8 steerer and an equally straight steerer tube.

    Ta,

    Hi mike,

Nothing wrong with it at all, I have my vision of the bike and I requires Fox action at the back end for me to be truly happy haha

As for average weight band, 15st may be a tad outside it!!

Mildred – got any photos? Will email you anyway.

    Cheers for the help

Currently it has the stock RockShox Ario, air spring, rebound adj. and LO, 7.875×2.2″

What is LOCO/TF/MOJO? Never came across them?

If I buy the Fox Float RP2 2012, 200x58mm would that suffice? And give me the required travel?

I’ve told him a HT is the best option given the funds, he’s just got his heart set on a full.

I’ve explained the pro’s and con’s but in all honesty I’m a big fan of full sus myself.

    The search continues!!!!

    Thanks for all the responses.

It does seem a bit of a challenge at the moment, I’m forever having a little nosey for the odd bargain, but recently I’ve seen nothing!

It’s being made harder with the addition of the XL shenanigans.

Short of eBay, GumTree, here and Pink bike any other good places to have a nosey?

Cheers for the offer Professorfaceplant (good name) the thought had occured to me to take his time and build one up. Unfortunately he’s anxious to get on it and pretty limited financially.

The Cratoni C-Maniac is on eBay brand new for less than £20.

For the first time in my life I’ll use the phrase MET are “re-assuringly expensive!”.

Let’s face it (maybe literally in this case), if you were to face plant hard enough to break it, I imagine you’d be a lot worse off without it

    My sentiments exactly

    It’s obviously a contentious subject.

For what I do and the extra protection one would offer, they seems worth it to me.

Doesn’t look like any are up for sale on STW that will be still available, will keep checking 🙂

    Thanks all.

Is this the helmet you mean Sancho?

I thought they were hard to find!

I don’t do full on DH, more XC but I do enjoy the gravity assisted stuff. That’s why I thought it may be a good idea to have at least a little more protection when the trail gets narly and fast. A full face would kill me during the uphill slogs.

    Cheers for the heads up.

Living in Warrington is a right pain for a good trail. It’s at least 45mins in every direct to find somewhere, so driving and out finding it to be pants is fairly annoying!!!!

On a Norco Sight so AM, pretty much do a bit of everything.
