    What STM says.

Even people saving kid’s lives in hospital take time off work. Will the world end if you go on holiday? Me thinks not. I know work is important but it ain’t that important.

    Good luck.

My seamaster chrono pro gets ‘serviced’ every now and then (twice in 6 years) by the tic tic man in hatton garden – 100 ish. You could buy a Seiko but so can everyone else :)

Have a look at Tooway Direct[/url]

Plenty of price / speed options there. We’ve got a pretty big dish but the new ones are Sky size afaik.

We’ve got an older Tooway system and it’s fine for general stuff, VPNs tend to slow it down though due to the latency.

I think they’ve now got a 10mb and 18mb option with pretty good uploads speeds (4mb on the 10mb down if iirc). You’ll never get around the latency issue but it’s done us fine for 18 months and that includes working from home using web based systems.

What’s age got to do with it? The same could be said about spotty kids trying to out do each other. If you come off at anything over jogging pace there’s a good chance of hurting yourself – rocks and tree stumps are hard no matter how old you are.

    a bit murdery

    Lovely phrase there :-)

And sellisnba, you’re right about the over pricing but it’s the cost of being down here I guess.

I can see Exeter being crap if you want loads of bars/clubs/theatres/museums but otherwise it’s ace – I say this having done the London thing for years and decided South Devon is better than South London to raise a family. If you think parts of Exeter are rough you’ve not experienced much.

As with most things, it all depends what you’re looking for.

Desperate to get up to Dartmoor as not been out for three or four weeks but think it might be a bit ‘damp’ so will prob stick to Haldon. That’s if it ever gets out of the clouds…anyone tried Woodbury in the last few days?

Any suggestions for an offroad GPS without breaking the bank? It’s more for planning routes than recording so I was thinking of an eTrex 30 but I haven’t used one before so I’m unsure how I could load the routes I want to follow.

Does anyone have an idiots guide to using a GPS offroad?

My Oakleys take an OS map in the thigh / front pocket but they’re too baggy in the arse now I’ve lost weight which is why I’m looking. Annoying as they’re good shorts.

If the hubs are the same as the experts I’ve been told by hotlines they’re 6001.

+1 for the hot paperclip. I had blood build up behind a nail and two gps told me to let it out. Shouldn’t hurt if you don’t slip.

Just tell the Mrs you’re getting a nanny who can carry everything. It’ll work a treat.

Made an early trip up to Dartmoor yesterday morning and it was stunning. Took this at the top of the cleave looking towards Hound Tor.

Dartmoor or Woodbury for me. Just hope the threatened rain doesn’t happen.

I’d planned on being happy until Hotlines failed the basic task of differentiating between normal and straight pull spokes…fingers crossed the LBS has some 158mm spokes in stock…

but typing on here is sooo much easier…and to be honest, I’d rather not take more spokes out if I can avoid it.

People who don’t use ‘reply to all’ correctly. If I’ve included people in an email it’s because they need to know what’s happening so include them on your response you utter fu*kwits.

People who refuse to use the ‘pay at pump’ option then proceed to stand in a queue for ages then pay with a card and buy only petrol.
