This thread is the reason why I am here, forget the bike stuff, this is where it’s at!

I want to live in Sweden, seems like a fun place where you can wear blue and yellow on a daily basis.

I think blokes love it! After all I am watching it on my own in bed. If I wasn’t married with a son I’d think living in Brighton was rubbing off on me.

The Norway one looks just like my PA, I wondered where she had disappeared to this week! Cracking song too, so reminds me of 90’s and early 00 songs.

Oh I had those z1 duals in gold on my spooky metal head, loved those biking days! Sold to fund a half season snowboarding in 2001, ah well.

Surely wider bars mean they would reach further back at the ends so you would need a longer stem to get the same overall reach? Or is the theory that your Arms will be sooooo wide apart a shorter stem is needed to give extra strength for when you get jammed between trees? Perhaps I am the only lanky git still using 100mm and 110mm stems…. Plenty of cheap ones about at the mo!

All good suggestions above plus have you thought about the tomac or salsa mamista? Both easily available under £400 and both about 3.5lbs IIRC

As above canyon and great but also have a look at Radon. They are an in house brand for a huge German bike shop. Great value, my full 105 (including chainset), tapered full carbon fork and light Ali frame cost £850 posted. Finishing kit was good and came with ok wheels and certainly better than most at that price (mavics).

Sizes are small as my 60cm is really a 58cm.

My neighbour did it, invested loads in training and qualifications and setting up an awesome space. She gave up though as the stream of mistreated dogs with blocked ducts etc made her sad. If you can handle this and help the owners fab if not it may be too much as it was for her.

Basically read the full thread of what makes you a bellend, do the exact opposite of all the advice and you are sorted! Not sure that leaves much though with all the contradictions and I think all that is left is onesies, ski suits and wetsuits. At least you can wear them with pride knowing you are the height of fashion and defo not a bellend. Sorted.

    20″ salsa el mariachi = 110mm stem
    19.5″ trek 69er = 120mm stem
    20″ niner one nine = 100mm stem
    57cm road bike = 110mm stem
    57cm cyclocross = 90mm stem

Some bikes need longer, some shorter, if it fits you and rides well go for it!

Niner carbon, will take the rough with the smooth, defo worth it and in my experience, a budget build always escalates quickly……

Not good but then in SA, you kind of need one especially if you live on a farm. Lots of farmers hacked to death even elderly ones in simple robberies. Of course there is more to the issue however I don’t think the guns in this case are the main problem.

It’s not all of Brighton and just some areas also some areas have been that way for years. The new bits are just of the main roads. Some 40 bits are now 30. Not sure yet what diff it makes but I’m sure it will be better in certain parts of town.

Update to finish this thread off. Had the system power flushed with no luck. Plumber cut out all the pipes and valves in the airing cupboard and put them where they were meant to be (it has a horror story in there) now boiling hot radiators and as much hot water as we needed.

Looks like a case of bad plumbing so preggo with happy now.

    Nice golfs

Mine has (bike that is) rigid carbons ’cause they cost so much I can’t afford some suspension ones, that makes sense doesnt it?
