My commuter bike is a felt breed. thankfully my commute takes in a nice section off road over the south downs then some ace country lanes. it's for sale too BTW….. £420 and just fitted some new salsa woodchippers (not even ridden them yet!)

Yep I commute and ride on the south downs on my single speed felt breed cyclo corss bike. It's so much fun and makes your normal mtb trails harder which as we all know = more fun!

No sums but don't forget you don't need to use a 29er rigid fork, a 26 rigid fork works fine and gives another thing to consider when you are thinking of your geometry…

Ok then any excuse to get my fugly bike out….

do you reckon the 31.8 bar size would be best? think of the trail clearance you could do, salsa really have come up trumps again.

2:1 is no problem there for a long weekend, it's not really that steep. besides you will apreaciate the extra speed on the decents.

Hi, I have a pair and am usig an isis BB. ISIS is pretty bad but superstar make a isis bb the same way shimano made square tapers. the bearings run directly on the axle meaning much larger bearings can be used. killed fsa, truvativ, and crank bros in under 4 months of use but the superstar is going strong at nearly a year with no sign of play.

    hope this helps!

mines the SDW, I live on the coast side but work 15 miles inland. so it's sea level to top then back down and then country lanes all the way. reverse on the way home. nice.

I love their cranks and supporting this company that's producing amazing tech at a fraction of the budget the big boys have is no mean feat.

Been using them for around 10 years and they still look soooooooooooo nice. I wonder if most people know that their duo cranks came out such a long time ago, way before sram?.

Surely they are not niche just bloody good, after all niche is jut a new term for not mainstream? besides its horses for courses, I love the variation and choice we have at the moment, oh actually please don't buy them as I want a set and they always seem to sell out due to demand!

after all my niner forks are flexy, but only in the right way…they are perfect! these would look ace on a nice steel build. bet they feel nice and directional.

Ages ago at one of the handmade bike shows someone had a pair of steel rigid 29er 24mm maverick forks. imagine them!

Possibly flexy but not all flexy is bad…..
