I’ve got butcher/slaughter (summer) purg (winter) on the full sus which I really like.
Of the schwalbe tyres I’ve never tried rock razor rear, is it a lot better than minion ss? Maybe with a rocket Ron?

    I’d be looking at Hunt

Looking for something in between trail and xc.

Before I had the minions on I had gato front and rear and loved how they rolled and gripped but I went through 2 tyres in a month from sidewall damage. Have the agarro and Marcello got a little more protection?

Listened to jeff Buckley, arctic monkeys and Michael Kiwanuka today. All marvellous!

Sounds perfect to me. If they did an honestly box me and a mate who went to gisburn last week reckoned a tenner a visit per person was cheap for what you get.

I use the Chinese rip off POC glasses which are absolutely brilliant.

I’ve just got bike back out and can’t make it squeak just with pressure without riding. But when I was at Gisburn it wouldn’t stop.

Never serviced. Bought second hand but new and only done 100 miles

I have butcher/slaughter on my FS and purg on rear in winter. On my hardtail I have DHF/minion ss so like a setup similar to you. Both are as good as each other IMO, I think the Slaughter is better than the SS when not leaning the bike. Also I think a 2.6 butcher is a massively better tyre than the 2.3 version if it fits your bike.

Done over 3000 miles on mine. 130mm forks. When it was my only bike it was set up with enduro wheels and big tyres but when I got a rocketmax I put it on a diet and made it into a lighter xc bike. It absolutely nails being both. If I ever go down to one bike again the soul will stay and I’ll just get a second pair of wheels.
Best bike I’ve ever had bar none

How wide bars are you after? I’ve got some really light carbon bars that are too narrow for me. About 720mm

Kalloy uno stem. Go on Ali express and they do an 11-50T cassette that’s less than 400g for £60
Second hand carbon bars, nukeproof horizon pedals. Pretty easy to get bike weight down cheap if you’re patient.
I rebuilt my steel cotic soul into a more xc bike last year and it’s 25lb now with a steel frame.

In a street of right-wing racists and the Mrs being a nurse we’ve not clapped once. They have.

I’ve found a bum Bag far comfier than lugging a bit pack about. The position on the lower back is so much better on the back and upper body and less pressure on hands too.

That’s amazing. I’m made up next doors got some sparrows in his eaves and we’ve got some blackbirds nesting nearby!

I’m with Kelvin. When I crash it starts with me thinking I’m Danny Hart, then nothing until I hear people laughing at me and I’m in pain.

That sounds great. There have been so many rides, yesterday’s included, where I see something that looks interesting but can’t risk going down it because I don’t know where I’ll end up.
Also, yesterday I ride with headphones on and since starting paying for Strava I love when I’m at a favourite section and you get the timed prompts.

Looked at a map and it looks like kinder rd.
Vague memories that I ride up a grassy bank and got to the top and then the rocky niceness started downwards

Hard for me to explain. I’ve come from new mills down the bridleway to the visitor centre.
Cross the road and then it’s left and right and then I remember a long tarmac climb for about a mile

Plenty of utube videos. I use gorilla tape and never have any problems. You’ll need some tubeless valves too.

Glad you’re okay mate, could have been a lot lot worse. Absolute morons like this are this reason I don’t ride on the road.
I used to commute when I worked and lived in Stockport but a lad in a gti with his mates in th3 car tried to run me off the road.
Wingmirrors are a lot frailer than I thought.

Cheers, I’ll have a look at Regatta now.
This was my thinking Trimix. No point in spending a fortune because theyre going to get shredded.

Crossed my mind to change to Di2 when my XO groupset wears out.

How much would all of that cost mate in total?

Also, might be a daft question but is the display essential? Is it just a display or does it have another purpose?

Best bike I’ve ever had. Surprised they’re canning it because it is truly an all rounder.
Maybe something in between the bfe and soul?

    Yes.

We bought a turntable because we were getting lazy with Spotify listening.

Now we buy an album each on payday and the conversations leading up to what to purchase and wjat we’ve been listening to that has caught our ears.

Then we buy an album and give it our full attention whilst cooking or sitting in garden. We’re absolutely loving it.

I’ve had tyres blow off but never crack a rim! Maybe crack was already there?

They’re normally pretty close and today they were almost exactly the same.

Sometimes one(normally watch) will go totally mad and lose signal. But I use that because of the heart rate monitor.

Reckon I could get some 2.8s on my wide rims too.
