Cheers ogri I’ll have a good look at bird then, you can get lots of bike for the money with them.

I’m not ruling out 29er as an option at all either.

What’s the finish on the frame like on your zero? On the website I’m always put off because they look a bit cheap but I think it’s just the website is a bit rubbish.

I’ve got one that’s 120mm for Reba mate.

    I’ve started a list!

I’ve had my soul set up with more travel and bigger tyres but it’s become my all rounder bike as where I live it’s like Holland so I need something light and faster rolling. I suppose its still an option to get some 140mm forks and beefy tyres but then I’d still need to get something for riding locally.

Very, very interesting luke. Everything I hear about the moxie seems to say its a more capable version of the soul.

Why did ragley make the blue pig race brown?

    Cheers for the replies.
I’m not sure if it’s the website but bird look a bit cheap on there. Are they nice?
I’ve not looked at Marino and I can’t seem to get the spec I want on ragley.
I do like steel, hence the bardino.
    I’m 5’8 so I’m edging towards 27.5 as I like a bike I can chuck about a bit.

My Mrs got a kona mohala and it’s absolutely brilliant. I’m riding it at the moment because my forks are in the LBS and I love riding it.

Could you not get the 100mm and put a 120mm air shaft in? Cheap easy job.

I’ve got a soul and have bought some rockshox SID and my LBS is putting a 120mm air shaft in.

Can you remember if you could do any adjustments? Things like headset colours or if you could choose 27+? Maybe a tyre choice?

Sounds like you’ve bought one for exactly the same reason I have. I’m far from tech savvy but happy that I’ve got a couple of trailforks routes downloaded. One for ladybower and one for lee and cragg quarry.

Superb. I’m reading jon ronsons ‘them at the moment so I’ve learned a lot about waco and watched a documentary recently so that’s right on the list.
These all sound amazing actually. I’m getting through them at a rate of knots so will do a list of the recommended ones.
Oh, off menu is my favourite comedy/food pod by the way.

For looks my soul mk5 frame is stunning but for functionality i treated myself to an AXS seat Post on C2W and it is absolutely superb.

Snuggling Jarvis harder after reading this as he lies on his back snoring and farting.
That cartoon made me cry like a baby. Really lovely.
I’m sad for your loss OP, but I Thi you should take heart that you have your pooch a happy few years. X

If you go to Roman lakes at marple and bob into the cafe they sell a mtb routes book for about £2 where all of the routes start from that cafe.

If mine won’t come off I put mine either on the radiator or wash them with really hot soapy water for as long as possible. Then it’s a matter of swaet and swearing but never failed to get one off the rim, especially difficult on carbon rims for some reason.

    Brilliant I’ll check those out.

How easy is it to load a route onto the device from, say one of the magazines or a route online?

If that’s the case is the route to go through CAB?

Thanks everyone. I’ll have a look through the original documents.
Like I said I had a pretty accurate settlement figure from the old company as I’d looked into paying it off.
As long as it’s all legal I’ll have to go along with it I suppose but I will check it out.

Not exactly mate. They gave me a figure if I carried on paying the loan and a figure if I paid it off today. Both were higher than what I know I owed before because I’ve looked into clearing it recently.

That’s what I was worried about. Or nicking my reg maybe.
If they wanted a race they would have won over a 57 plate mondeo diesel.

Not police but as train driver I watched the spaniels do some anti terror training on a Sunday morning after the Manchester bombs on a dead Sunday morning and I realised my spaniel is a useless farty mutt. But like these he’d do anything for a ball. Stunning, clever dogs.

Dm me your phone number and I’ll send you a load of easy to hard route guides starting from marple roman lakes. Also if you fancy a ride out I can show you few good bits too. I’m not far from you I’m near Warrington mate

I’ve got a 2.6 butcher on the front of the rocketmax, love that tyre.
Never used a ground control. Specialized tyres do seem a bit weighty for a light xc ish bike.
    Hmmmm. So many choices!

Now you’ve mentioned nobby nic I’ve got 30mm rims I could put a 2.8 nobby with a rock razor. That’s pretty high grip and lightweight
