To rub salt into the wound I’ve just got an email from v12 finance telling me about when the payments will be coming out.

Yeah I only looked at the trustpilot reviews today. Thanks for the tips, I’ll ring the bank tomorrow and see what they say. I can’t speak to sofology as they seem to be impossible to get I touch with. All I’ll say is stay away from them.

I wasn’t involved in any of qhat happened. If I was I’d not be in this position I’d be kicking off big time.
Cheers for the recommendations though. Just getting his bike back on the trails will make his Christmas.

First winter in our first house with a garden. Coal, blue, long tailed and great tits, Robin, magpie, jackdaws, starlings, grey squirrel, mouse, collared dove, wood pigeons, house sparrows, magpie, buzzards overhead. Nature reserve at back of ours with another row of houses between us and it. Seen red kite, deer, goldfinch and Jay’s nearby so hopefully get a few of them in when it’s been cold for a while

Are those paramo jackets warmer than they look? They look a bit thin? If so they look perfect, does that hood fit over a helmet too? Love my normal jacket that does that.

I’d forgotten there was a carbon version. Missed out on one a few years back on ebay. Looked lovely.

Been a fan for years. Saw them at Belfast titanic slipways for 6 music festival and after liking them for years I worried that they might not work live. How wrong I was!

Arguably my favourite band at the moment (along with BC camplight)

    Cheers for all the tips.

Did rock pool cafe – stunning, great cocktails!

Lamorna cove and walk, had an entire cove to swim in pretty much to ourselves.

Mackerel sky was best seafood I’ve had since cascais.

Porthcurno beach early doors on the red hot day we had. Like being in the Caribbean!

Mrs went in jubilee pool for a swim while I ran down penzance front and St Michael’s Mount.

Went to Penlee lifeboat Station and read about the history.

Couldn’t get in 2 fore Street, completely booked up, jelberts was the best ice cream I’ve ever had, Mrs said the same. But clotted cream on I e cream? Who knew that would work??!!!

Lewis fish and chips. I got scampi, lovely, Mrs got cod-different world. Best fish and chips I’ve had, better than anything in whitby where our friends live. They’re not happy about this comment!

But cheers so much for the recommendations, took them all on and did a lot of them and more. Really appreciate it.

Not bothered about an e bike, or spending a hell of a lot of money on getting one either.

Sonder was a good idea but they’re out of stock until December. I think that’s going to be a problem trying to find something in stock.

Found it. It was I airing cupboard behind all my Mrs stuff. So I basically need to change the battery in the big box with one of the batteries listed above?

Right. There’s a screw on the bottom of it to open it up. If I take that off is my alarm going to go off?

The brand is accenta, I can’t seem to find anything other than the keypad and panic alarm next to the front door other than the wires and sensors. No other boxes to speak of at all that could contain a battery. Could the battery be in the keypad box?

Ah cheers. Makes sense. We’ve not long since moved in so no idea of servicing on it. So I’ve got to find the bell unit and change the battery?

Camping/biking trips is just us two and the dog.
Also holmesy I think I fit into the best of both worlds category with you, I think as soon as the commute is 25+ miles it’s not an option. There seems to be a narrow window you need to fit into for a hybrid to really work and I think i fit into it.

Drac how do you think it would fair space wise for a camping biking trip? Bikes on a bike rack but would a gte carry tent and all camping/biking equipment?

Yeah GTE is one shortlist. Any of the ‘warm hatchbacks’ a class, leon, gtte.

If in petrol mode I’m getting anything over 40ish I’m happy as other than the odd long drive to the lakes or Wales I drive fairly close to home, friends and family.

Range of all the cars I’m looking at is around 35 miles.
Everything I’m reading is saying to keep the battery at 100% as much as possible.
I’m hoping to get something like a GTE or Leon FR that’s sporty but really efficient when in Manchester traffic on my commute.

No it’s boring local stuff, reason I want it it to make it more exciting. Not bothered about my ‘proper’ mtb routes in the peaks etc because I’m concentrating on the trail more.

I’ll have a look at transferring them over. Might be a good idea that, although I’m not great at tech!

I’m defo painting it white this week! Looks great. Might board the ceilings too and putting the interlocking tiles down.
As for turbo trainers, I was thinking I’d put a stud wall in and put a mini gym at one end with a turbo and a telly.

They look great. I’ve been left a massive tub of white paint. That’s going on tomorrow before I start accumulating stuff.
What did you use to board those walls?
I’ve got 3 strip lights at the minute but those LEDs look great.

Sorry for the hijack of the thread but has anyone ridden one of these?
Not a fan of the wheels or tyres but you can get brilliant wheels at a good price these days.

I’ve just found some specialised tyres on their website, sigma sports and balfes. Just got 29×2.6 butcher on there, paid a but more for that but I’ve got a purgatory at home so that’s tyres sorted for the moxie build!

Interesting! Unfortunately I’m only 5’8 so an XL I wouldn’t be able to reach the bars!
It’s a good point on the moxie with 27.5 tyres.
If bird do a matt black steel frame I might be in trouble!
