It;s crossed my mind mate. But there’s a part of me that’s a bit bored of getting second hand stuff, I feel like treating myself to something new.

Unfortunately we’re landing Friday evening and leaving Monday morning. If you’re riding that weekend a tour would be lovely though, cheers!

How far away are the two places you’ve said?

Might be a daft question but is a single speed chain crucial?

She wants one that’s more upright apparently.

That vitus might be the perfect one. Now to see if she likes ‘the colour’

I’m in no big rush, dry as a bone at the moment. I’ve got s few zip tie mudguards but with the big barros they rub at times.

I haven’t got s 3d printer, was hoping there was another one like I have on my DT Swiss forks that might fit.

Yeah that’s what I thought mate, can rent a nukeproof mega for £60. Might have to do that and just have one big blast.

What kind of costs would it be to set up?

My XC bike is the soul, but it’s set up totally XC, 100mm forks carbon wheels with xc tyres. I absolutely love it.

If I get a flare I’d set it up trail. I love a project too.

One other thing, does anyone know anywhere that supplies touch up paint for cotics? The ones I’ve seen are pretty battered, understandably.

Mrs has got an mmbop which is amazing to ride, it’s kind of that that’s making me go towards 27 5. Run barros on my xc soul, brilliant tyres in 2.6

Brothers got a sirius which rules that out and its lovely too. I’ll have a look at the Canfield now.

Chameleon is definitely an option but they’re pricey and are even expensive 2nd hand.

RSD I couldn’t get on C2W I don’t think although if I could find one 2nd hand I’d be really interested.

I’d love to get hold of a transmitter carbon. I’d go 27.5+ if I found one. I love a light bike. I’m not going to win any races so I want to have fun when I ride.

I didn’t realise that was a thing susepic, I’ll do some reading into that too. Cheers.

Oooh. Now then. Just had a quick read. We’ll priced, geo looks good and it fits my parts. Lovely looking thing too. It’s from Yorkshire, which isn’t great, I’m married to one.

    Off to read some reviews!….

That Curtis is gorgeous, but £1500 for frame only! Blimey!

Some stuff I can get on C2W like the ARC which drops that price quite nicely.

I do love the pink moxie. The length of the thing puts me off a little, although I do like steel bikes. I’ve got a soul that’s about 7 years old that’s my XC 100mm bike for round here. Absolutely love that thing.

Oh I should have said, around 130mm of travel is what I’m after as itbwill be ridden near me where its flat as well as the lakes, peaks etc.

Sorted the button sticking now the pigging thing won’t stay up! It pairs with the lever, but when you activate the lever it doesn’t make the electric noise and I can just push it down easily now like its been activated

Bought a new cassette tool and it just isn’t budging. God knows how the previous owner tightened it!

    Struggling with this.

Nothing on the tool can undo it.

Basically I’ve got a blue cap that’s very similar to a cassette tool, then a spacer, then the stem and under that nothing but a rubber cap which I’ve removed from the underneath.

Or if there’s just an easy way to remove my forks?

Didn’t work when I tried, my cassette tool seems a mm or two too small. Any other ideas?

    Brilliant, cheers all.
I’ve been off the bike for a week now. Think I’ll give it another 2 weeks until I try on the turbo.
Billoddie I ride flats anyway so that’s a plus, my physio said they don’t recommend surgery anymore as reslcent research shows only short term benefits.
Cheers again, exactly what I wanted to hear as always.

Cheers for this. As always just the kind of stuff I wanted to know. Think I’ll take the ragley and do some work on where these places are, I’ll ride if they’re not a big, parents were in Kirkcudbright when the storms were on and said itvwas really wet where they were walking.
Squirrellking, I may get in touch for a brew and a ride, currently very unfit after tendinitis and illness at the end of last year.
    Cheers again everyone.

Is the tacx QR skewer rather than a thru axle?

Lane foot near keswick. Equidistant between keswick and whinlatter. Really laid back attitude and a pub 10 minute walk away too.

Cool camping is a great website for finding what you want.

Thanks for all the replies. Think once the rain strikes are over I might treat myself. Flat as a pancake where I ride and can get on towpaths almost from my front door so might make winter riding more fun.
