I used it back in 1991/2 when it first came into popular use within British Cycling. We had to load for a week then take a normal amount for two weeks then none for a week, then load again etc etc etc. We were told by Peter Keen to take 1grm per kg body weight once a day on the normal weeks and to triple that dosage on the loading weeks. The only difference I noticed was that I was super grumpy on the normal weeks and bad tempered, @rsey and aggressive on the loading weeks. I gave up after six months of use and went back to eating more red meat.

Ditch vehicle tax altogether & put it all on fuel.

But in doing that you punish the people that must use their cars for work. Where I work there is now public transport system so I'm restricted to driving to work and given that is deemed as a commute I can't claim that back. My OH is a community nurse and again she has to drive to her patients, once again public transport isn't an option.

He is the masseur for the Spanish national squad and he rides his bike every day, or he did when I knew him. He still goes to the Track Worlds and World Cup events. And he gives a good deep massage too.

I've done a few 10's and 25's on a MTB for training, rattled out a 22.39 on a Raleigh Technium around 1990/91. That upset quite a few TTers

How do I book a demo bike or do I just rock up and take a bike off a stand?

Or just HTFU and grow a pair. If you're finding it a little bit hard on the old leggsy weggsys then it's time to don the pipe and slippers and watch country file.

    😉

In the world of OEM, Mr Hoi Sin in Taiwan orders 15,000 groupsets, forks, finishing kits and 10,000 frames. He then offers the excess to CRC, Merlin or On One for buttons because the manufacturers have changed the colour/design or decals and has already received a credit on his excess.

Why would Mojo be a bit peeved, well if you go into a shop and buy a set of Fox 36's RC2 at £850 the retailers order from Mojo, if you buy from On One then it's coming in the back door and my not carry a warranty as the product have a serial number that won't be on Mojos system and they can tell you to return them to Mr Hoi Sin to fix and will he give a toss???

    I use Ceramic Speed bearings.

+1 for Ceramic Speed. I did a load of testing with SRMs on the velodrome over a weekend and with ceramic bearings and found that I was generating 14watts more at the same heart rate with ceramics over standard. That would differ on a MTB because of the terrain but would still have a benefit.

    Stirred, always six times.

I did try Olives straight off the tree and they were definitely the devils work.

Roast some garlic and stuff the olives, or with jalapenos, or with cheese.

Bottle of Amarone is breathing and looking tantalising.

15 miles isn't really enough to worry about having a recovery shake. Eat a normal balanced diet and you'll be fine. Maybe if you were doing 40 miles each way then it might be something to worry about, but given you body has enough stores for around two hours of riding, then you have nothing to worry about unless you don't want to see your feet in five months time.

so if you have travel insurance and you get delayed and have to stay longer does it cover you for the rest of this time or do you have to arrange an extension?

It's an act of God, so basically a get out clause for the insurance company.

    You're f*cked

After all the hype of how wonderful SLX is, I would go for XT. The finishing quality of SLX just isn't there, it's like comparing Dura Ace to Sora. Chainset and brakes may be fine but the rest is just plain shonky.

I might have all my info from 1988-2007 of all my races stored somewhere. As a neo pro in the Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix to Olympics, Worlds and National. Being recorded every 5secs, my body remembers every 1sec of it

    Sound familiar?

    She gave me her mind
Then she gave me her body
But she gave it to anybody
    Then I made her cry
    And I made her scream
    Then I took her high
    And curdled her cream

But how was I to know
that she had been there before
She told me she was a virgin.. oh!
    She was number 999
    On the clinical list
Then I had to fall in love
    With a dirty little bitch!

    She got The Jack
    She got The Jack
    She got The Jack
    She got The Jack

Have a word about it with Mandy Greenwood, she's one of the owners and should sort something out. She's also an ex World Champion.

I've got some Mazzis, been sent back to Windwave to be warrantied and it only took them 10wks to send me a new set.

I've not got a problem with them they work fine but I'd rather have a set of Foxs' I found the set up a PITA compared to Fox. I don't like the look of the Revs the finishing looks shoddy but that wouldn't stop me riding them.

Do you used a quick link? and do you keep a check on when the chain is worn?

I would change my chain every 6wks but I was doing between 500-700miles a week.

53/39 or if it's flat 54/46. I'd only use a 50/34 for Cyclo Cross, even then I'd probably use a single 48 or a 46 in wet conditions.

I've got a 2001 SaabMarine 9-5 2.3t Auto with 168,000 miles on the clock. It's still rolling along nicely, loads of boot space (I'm too lazy to take the wheels of the bikes so I throw in a Yeti 575 and a Kona coilair fully built) and all the other stuff needed. I lived out of the car for a three month trip around France and it has a host of storage spaces.

I had that with some Avids, front was sharp but the rear was shonky as ****. I think it was down to the cable route. I put on some Deore and gave the Avids to a friend who has been running them without any issues.

Joxter, I bet you don't live in the Fort though?!

No, but I do ride past it occasionally. I live in the nicer side of Leith (if there is such a side 😉 )

And drive a Range Rover Sports

I live in the Leith area, so if I'm seen out on my £3k Merckx or £4.5k Bianchi or £2.5k Spesh or £3k Kona then I must be on a stolen bike 😕 Next you'll be saying that all BMW drivers are drug dealers.
