I’ve heard there is something down a Leith Hill but I’ve not been. I know that there were rides leaving from BikePlus (in Purly) that catered for all standards, give them a call and speak to Paul Taylor

I’m just down the road at Calne, the Wife and I go to Cwm Carn regularly. Your welcome to join us, I’ll whizz round with your OH if he want to do two laps to your one and you can keep the Wife company, she’s a newbie and is a bit cautious at times

Not had the cranks hitting the stays. But I find it too bouncy for me. I had mine set up properly but I just don’t get on with it. It does climb well for a 7″ travel bike and descends like a loon. But I like something with a bit less travel that I can throw about.

I’m selling mine either as frame, forks, cranks and wheels or the complete bike.

Try Fibre HQ in Norwich, they also fix CF bikes and Wheels. I’ve had a set of Tri Spokes repaired by them.

I’m not sure that they can enforce it, but if they do they can deduct it from any holiday pay you’d be entitled to.

If the kid can’t ride it, then walk and show them the correct line to take and point out why. Then ride little sections of it and use it to teach.

Are you wanting to race on the darkside or just dabble and use it for training?

If you just want to train then get some road tyres.

Glentress is probably the most family friendly centre.

At Afan, Penhydd is the easiest. My OH who is a newbie got round Penhydd and it was her second outing on a MTB.

I ride an Fizik Arione on all my bikes and it is only uncomfortable after 120km off road, that doesn’t happen often so it’s not a major worry.

Hiking boots won’t be good, look at Mazzochi, 5Tens or Shimano. The Mazzis and 510 use the stealth sole and are super sticky, the Shimano uses the vibram soles which you find on some of the walking shoes and are ok. What state are the pins on the pedals?

My wife uses the same saddle on all her bikes.

All her MTB Baggies are Loeka (http://www.loeka.com/) I’ll need to check if they reach her knees or not???

Hummer – Had it, broken it and binned it. Build quality is pants, not a fan of Ti. It’s too temperamental when being welded.

I’m struggling with too much travel on the Kona. I don’t know if this is normal.

Old fork arm with some old chain makes a great chain whip. It just needs to have a mudguard eyelet.

    Finish line Citrus cleaner.

Washing up liquid contains salt so isn’t ideal for cleaning bikes.
