what? you need help if you’d get rid of one of the best bikes EVER made and buy some piece of crap like a cannondale!

What’s wrong with the Cannondale? Should I avoid getting one or is it a case that it’s a mass produced brand and not a boutique brand?

I’m thinking of getting a Rize, just waiting to find out a price and availability

Bed in the brakes before you get them covered in crap. Get the use of a shock pump so you can set up the shocks. If they do it in the shop know your weight fully clothed and loaded with kit.

Get someone you trust to give it a quick once over

Anyone know where these bikes end up?

I know that Brick Lane Bikes in London had* a reputation of being a chop shop.

    *it may have improved

Another place to keep a look out is theftconverters, sorry Cash Converters

Depending where you live (hilly/flat) and if you’ll ride fixed or single free. I’d go with 63″ roughly (34×14)

What sized wheels are you using?

    Gaffa tape will fix that

Didn’t think Royce was still around. They’re good BB’s

I’ve popped out the bearings in External BB and replaced with ceramic bearings for mine.

You’ll get away with a double sided track hub, if it’s a steel Raleigh it’ll be 126mm so a 120mm hub isn’t a major issue.

    On-One do a double sided hub at 130mm (or 135mm I can’t remember)

I can’t find my favourite photo of me, if I can I replace this one. I don’t have any of me on a MTB. I’ll try and rectify that at the weekend

Paligap would be better to speak to for FFWD as they are the importer.

I got round the Alps on 165’s and it was effin’ hairy, I should have had 180’s at least.

You could go for something like this

    Tune Wheels

But I would be inclined to go for Fulcrum Racing Zeros

    Racing Zeros[/url]

Or the Mavic Ksyriums, I wouldn’t touch shimano wheels it’s the one thing they can’t make very well. £1k is a silly budget for wheels unless you’re looking for some deep section carbons and even then you’re falling in to a dead zone of being between average and sh!thot wheels like the Campag Hyperons

    Hyperons

I used a pair for two seasons and they still looked new

Is it just regular riding or racing, are you looking for bling, do you want carbon? I’m guessing that you want clinchers/tyres and not tubs

Headwinds are mind over matter, when you don’t mind it doesn’t matter.

It’s when you’ve got a headwind on the turbo you know it’s not a good day.

You might have to speak to the importer RSI (0208 965 2510) to find who stocks them. The pedals are Exustar (www.exustar.com)

It’s a touch too big for you, a small would be the ideal size. It can be made to fit so don’t worry to much. You need to do a decent ride on it to see where it is uncomfortable and work it from there. You’ll also need to give the change on position time as well.

If they want it, they will get it. buy a cheap bike that if it gets nicked you won’t worry about it.
