got some 661 launch taki from crc for £30 with a taki sole. feel and look good

I’ve had a pair of these for about 3 years and they are great. Got mine for about £35 from eBay.

Soles stiffer than a skate shoe, I used to use Nikes or Vans.

Used to live in Bellfields (Lime Grove)

I live in Lime Grove. I trust you weren’t one of the students who thought it was great fun to bang on my front door at 3 in the morning and run away, or use my side door as a toilet, or throw your empty beercans in my garden.

If you were I pity your current neighbours but I’m glad you’re not round here any more! 😉

Round here once it’s in the the council tip area you’ve got no chance.

Best hope is if you see someone taking a bike in before they reach the main gates.

Eldest daughter has got a 5800 on contract on Orange and she loves it.

Youngest has a Viewty on 3 and frankly it’s cr@p.

I’ve got a 5800 on Vodafone and I think it’s miles better than the iphones I’ve now played with.

Looking at Blackberry Bold, Nokia 5800 (although looks like it might be a bit flimsy and gimmicky) or the Nokia E75.

I’ve dropped my 5800 at least once a week since I’ve had it, twice into water, and it has suffered no damage.

    Hijack if that’s OK!

I’ve got 22 and 32 tooth rings on my double and a Shimano Saint bashguard on a Trutativ FireX crank set.

Would I get away with fitting a 34 or 36 for a bit more top speed?

    Thanks

    Good news alpin.

Any idiot who buys a Series 1 beemer (or 6) needs taking for all the’ve got left! 😉

I had a call from a prospective customer who wants me to deliver 4 training courses (at £105 each) in one day. Should be achievable and I’ll even give him a discount.

Best of luck in the future.

I’ve got a LOGIK LOM14004 docking radio which cost about £35 from Currys I think. Got it as a b’day pressie last December and it works fine.
Reasonable sound with a small remote control unit.

My question is should my friend also expect a pay increase?
The company don’t seem to think so but my friend does.

Not unless they said so up front. He’s probably on a probation period to see how he shapes up in the job. Once the probation is completed he will be in a stronger position to ask for more money.

If jobs are graded they will be covered by a range of salaries and it’s probable that the new job is still in the same salary range as his old one.

I’d be a bit wary of bankers drafts as they can be easily forged by people who scam for a living and £5K is a fair sum.

I’ve sold three vehicles; car, van and motorbike and bought two cars and did it with cash each time.

Best to have someone with you without amount around and don’t hand over the keys/documents till you’ve got your hands on the cash. Same if they want to test drive it.

If they suggest bank transfer make sure the money is fully yours before letting anything go.

The branches that overhang your mates garden he can legitimately lop off provided he gives them back to his neighbour.

Get him to notify his neighbour of his intentions with a timescale that way he should be covered.

What he shouldn’t do is just lop branches off and burn/skip them as they are not his property.

As gooner says he should also check whether there is a preservation order in place on the tree. It’s unlikely as hawthorns are like weeds but if there is the council can force his neighbour to ensure the tree is properly maintained and not a nuisance.

Did this a few years ago. You will need to get some form of proof from your employers on your driving record.

IIRC I had a clean record over three years with my current employer and 10 years with a previous and I got about 3 years worth of No Claims on a fully comp policy.

I’ve got a 5800 and I can answer the one about iPlayer, I’ve only had it three months(!) and not had much chance to play with the rest.

Logonto bbc from the phone and download the mobile iPlayer. At present you can only view on line but there is supposed to be another version due which will let you download stuff but no idea when it’s due.

Unless your WAP is free then WiFi is the only ‘free’ way to the internet provided you’ve got the access password or you are near a free Wifi hotspot.

Trained as an electronics engineer and then computer engineer but moved to the dark side, management, after about 12 years.

Been a white van man and now a freelance trainer.

Downhiller(?); No, too old and scared.

Cyclist(?); Yes, and more so since I got made redundant earlier in the year and between training sessions.

Is your Mum’s house, and the others, council property? If anyone one of them is then the alley is probably owned by the council and the council should be informed of his actions and he should be told to remove it.

If all the houses are privately owned then your Mum and her other neighbours should get together and tell him to take it down or at least remove any method by which it can be locked. He doesn’t own the passageway or have any rights over the control of access. The passageway is probably shown in their deeds as common property.

If he fails to do it they should be within their rights to remove the padlock and or the gate, provided they return both to him.

Failing that he should be reported to the council for anti-social behaviour.

If it’s a walk you want what about the South Downs Way, the Ridgeway or the North Downs Way.

Easy to get to and from but make sure your passport’s up to date! 😀

That’s because the renewal date is based upon the date the original photocard licence was issued not when it was last updated.

Well, according to a email from Singletrack last Sunday it was due out on 30th April.

I’ve been looking in WHSmith since but it hasn’t arrived in Guildford yet.

I used to get it from Beyond Mountain Bikes, which was near my place of work, but since I got the big R in January I haven’t been near the place and I’d rather not drive 20 miles to get it.

Anyone got there subs copy yet??

why did he do it, and doesnt anyone ever check on the staff.

Yes they do. He would have been CRB checked but only if he had a previous record would it have been flagged up.

Thing that amazes me is that he was alledged to have tried setting fire to other curtains previously. If that was the case I’m surprised he was still working there as in Nursing and Care Homes that I’ve worked with that would be a dismissable offence.

Our cats keeping bringing them as gifts. they make a whole song-and -dance about it.

We have at least four in our garden of varying sizes and different colours.

It’s great to see so many being found and hopefully preserved in gardens.

We’ve had a Bosch for 12 years now. Nothing replaced in that time and still going well. Recommend them anytime.

Cost a bit more to start with but has worked out better that the two Hotpoints we had in the previous 12 years that were rubbish and cost as much again in spare parts.

Sounds like you’re on a local network in an office not just connected straight to the modem.

In that case try changing the network cable and swapping to a different port on the router if you can identify which one is yours.

If its a hard wired connection then probably a virus if it’s through a wireless router then your router is probably at fault or you are on the limit of the signal.

We’ve got a Le Crueset casserole that we’ve had for about 25 years and it’s still going fine. Gets used at least once maybe twice a week. Can be used on a gas or electric ring or in the oven. No chips or cracks in the enamalling and only minor scratches to the inside.

They’re not cheap to buy but quality costs.
