NHS testing for Lyme is cheap, and unreliable unfortunately

According to the NHS I don’t have it

According to a Lyme specialist, I definitely have it

Watch out for any flu like symptoms

    Stewart Copeland for me

I’m sure there are better technical drummers but I’ve always loved his style

Having my ingrown toenail cut off down to the root. The toe was so infected that the maximum amount of anesthetic didn’t work. Felt everything. 3 nurses to hold me down.

Lyme disease is also very grim

Losing my hair is not what I signed up for either. I’m a rocker ffs. A skinny one. One that’s going to look shit with no hair…

Even if I had the money I’d be way too self-conscious to drive around in something as showy as that. It’d just scream bald, fat bloke having a mid-life crisis. Which is never a good look.

I would be avoiding city and town centres for that very reason. I would not be buying it to be looked at

Although a trip to the riviera in one of these does appeal

Yes, I would buy something, but probably an older Ferrari, depending on how much cash I had, maybe a 328, a 355

If it were a more ‘modest’ amount, maybe I’d get an older 911

Siwhite- that’s fantastic. I don’t know where you people learn these skills, but I’m impressed and envious. I’d love to learn things like that

Ajantom – I want to make something similar. How did you join the legs and top?

Well, when I see twenty Romanians swarming round a car in the freezing cold, and the owners £250,000 Bentley parked out front it makes me think I’ll get my car washed somewhere else as it seems like a pretty tasteless juxtaposition.

I take it I’m alone in thinking she is minging…..

As said earlier, not minging, but I don’t see any attraction at all

Now Suzannah on the other hand…

I can’t see the physical appeal, although she is a great presenter. Interesting and quirky, although sometimes a little rude (not the good kind of rude). She’s definitely got presence.

If we’re talking eccentric and beautiful, Suzannah Lipscomb is delightful

Mine gradually loses water, I’ve been here over a year and still no sign of a leak or any water marks anywhere

How can you trace where it might be?

Had a nightmare with hermes this week

When I paid on the online checkout it asked for any special courier instructions, to which I wrote leave with a neighbour

2 attempted deliveries, although no card left. I only found this out by looking at the online tracking. Online chat with hermes, they said leave a note on the door saying I’m not in

Spoke to retailer, asked if they could get in touch with courier, they said they would try. I told them leave with a neighbour and I will leave the back gate open so they can also leave it at the back door

Got back to find the parcel in the middle of the back garden with a slightly squashed box. It had just been launched over the gate (which was open)

On the address label was printed ‘if out leave with neighbour’

    Give up work

Buy a house in France, somewhere near hills and the sea

Have a good sized shed or workshop, make things out of wood.

Buy an old Alfa or two, decent sized timber garage so I can tinker with them

Get a decent sized camper van, spend lots of time exploring Europe, Scandinavia, the Balkans

I think about it on a daily basis

I lost all kinds of things that were annoying

One of the four rubber feet from the leg of the ironing board so now it wobbles

One of four little plastic end stops from my bed frame so that squeaks every time you think about moving

The blade part from my hand blender so that is now useless

The charger for my expensive bike light

    There are others too

I’ve no idea where any of these things got to or why they were separated from the rest of the stuff

    Frustrating

I’ve felt the same for most of my working life

I just can’t settle, I never feel content with this lifestyle

I’d be buggering off somewhere if I could afford it but don’t earn enough to save

From a purely personal point of view, I’d say if you have a bit of cash saved up, travel a bit more, maybe do some volunteering, or some job that has no pressure, picking fruit or something similar

Sounds like you need some thinking (or maybe non thinking) time

Go on holiday and enjoy it

I know the feeling that certain people think the world revolves around them

Sounds ludicrous to even expect you to be there, never mind cancel a holiday for it

    And no, it’s not selfish

Despite almost every kitchen and outdoor light in the neighbourhood being on (why do people do that?) there are definitely more stars visible than usual. I managed to see part of the eclipse about 40 mins ago, through some trees, I think I missed it looking red

I’ve got the mesh down on my lawn as I didn’t want a path

You can’t see it now as the grass has woven itself to it. You need to have a good dig around to see where it is. I can’t see it providing much extra traction if it’s so well buried within the grass
