They’ve started saying “pissed” at work to mean annoyed

    No no no no no

Oh, and these bloody adverts for new films

March twenty three indeed. Stop it. It was a British voice too.

I had a pain in my left conker for almost a month

It came and went, but at some points it was so bad I felt sick and couldn’t stand up straight

GP had a look (with student doctor having a rummage too to add to the awkwardness) and he told me it’s an enlarged vein

I don’t know what I am doing wrong but every bike I’ve had starts to get a matt finish after a while

It’s like something damages the laquer

I’ve tried brushes, sponges, different car shampoos and bike specific cleaners too

I hose off the bike before I wash it too

If it’s a day, I’d say avoid the Louvre, it’s massive

Musee d’Orsay is nice, Grande Palais, Pont Alexandre III, Place de la Concorde, Sainte Chapelle is much nicer than Notre Dame, although they are very close to each other so could do both. Probably not enough time for going up the Eiffel tower, Palais de Chaillot is a good viewing point for looking at the tower though

Paris isn’t a dump, there are ‘interesting’ parts, but it’s a lot cleaner than most of our cities

If she’s average, i’d love to see some of your wives.

The amount of make up on that pic is ridiculous

Not ugly, but doesn’t do much for me

    This is stw

    You’re over 40

You should be wearing ridiculously priced brogues, wearing tailored shirts, shaving with some implement that your grandfather was glad to get rid of, and splashing on cologne from some London Barber shop

Talk over him, shout when you’re on the phone while he’s trying to concentrate, wait until he gets out of his chair and then get up a second later and walk right across his path so he has to stop. If he starts talking to you wander off half way through his sentence or start a conversation with someone else

    Generally disrespect and disregard him

From my experience these things are really annoying 👿

    I was 42 last week

If it’s any consolation I’ve never had a decent birthday present. 18th, 21st and 40th were all greeted with spectacularly underwhelming and sometimes completely bizarre gifts. 40th passed with knob all from Dad, mum said she’d get me something later which never happened and a gift voucher from brother.

I did promise myself a Nicolai for my 40th and I’ve still not got enough cash

I say save the money you were going to spend on others thoughtful gifts and get yourself something nice

My car never had condensation in the carcoon

It has constant air flow, that’s the whole idea

I love Alfa’s, really really love them, but I wouldn’t feel happy if it lived under a cover

    I had one of these

and stored it in one of these

from your original list, I’d get a BMW 2002. Lovely car and I would love to be able to afford one. Although rust is still a problem, I think they fare better than a 60’s Alfa

I’m just glad it’s not only me who gets batshit crazy girlfriends

It feels like I have some kind of time warp / random massive memory loss half way through conversations sometimes. I’m sure 5 minutes of dialogue gets lost somewhere and I just get dropped in half way through

The typical Jacobs loop can easily be done under 3hrs for average rider

Tried it once. It took me 4 😳

I did start from New Mills, but I’m sure that shouldn’t add an hour

The response is to not respond.

By responding, you pigeonhole yourself further into that dangerous place as a “cyclist”.

We need to stop this bullsh*t thing of “the cycling community” and “cyclists”. It’s not a religion. It’s a means of transportation or a hobby. Acting like some kind of evangelists does not help.

I always find it annoying when the flow of main road traffic gets stopped due to this

More often than not there is a clear road after 2 or 3 cars have passed the junction anyway

It just seems to cause problems

What are the thoughts on diesels and milage?

I’ve seen things mentioned about diesels becoming a pain if they do short trips

Genuinely surprised by the responses here, I thought it was all going to be like the op

    I had a chuckle too

Every item they put before a panel ends up like that

Not hilarious but parts were amusing
