    I go now and again

it’s incredibly boring, but sometimes a good option for getting some exercise in

It was very foggy this morning on the way to work, the amount of drivers without lights on was surprising, and they were usually the ones in the silver/grey/fog coloured cars 😕

Collinite is what you want, the surface has to be good first though, so most people recommend using an abrasive polish first, or claying the car, to get rid of all the nasty stuff stuck to the paint

It lasts a long time, even after a few months, give your car a good wash and it looks freshly waxed

When the were talking about the danger of it all, the wives and girlfriends of the garage engineers were saying things like ‘I couldn’t be without him’ or ‘I blank it from my mind’

The wife of the hedge fund guy in Zurich said ‘If he dies, he dies, it’s fate’

    😯 😆

Wonder what his life insurance policy is worth…

I have a distinct dislike of CGI, especially when it’s all through the film

Sorry but I’m out, looks like any other formulaic Hollywood space tosh

I like a good science fiction but it has to be something original

Only saving grace is Miss Kunis

Too much arsing around and faffing involved in group rides

I’ve been on 3 or 4 mountain bike group rides in my life

Far too much waiting around, and I ride to get away from it all

I’m with cynic-al on Will Smith

Poor actor, even worse rapper, and the ego is beyond grating

He’s driven and energetic, I think he got where he is through determination alone, certainly not because of talent

The commencal is a lovely looking bike

Yes maybe it’s a bit heavier than some others, but I think people put too much importance on weight, if it rides well you’re not going to notice a few extra pounds

That’s where my money would be going. Good looking bike, and more individual than some of the other choices

The canyon is a great spec, but that stupid top tube.. It’s not a looker

I went to somewhere near Dover from New Mills once to look at an Alfa 105 coupe

That’s when they were affordable, about 6 years ago

    Wish I’d never sold mine

A guy drove to my house in New Mills from Portsmouth after he’d done a days work to pick up a door for a Mk1 Golf

You may get more money for it on eBay, depending on how you word the ad.

Also try the lfgss website. Prices are usually on the low side there but they may be able to offer advice on how much to expect

Lovely bike and I think you could get £400 – £500 depending on ad and time of year. I’ll also say aim it at L’eroica people, it would be perfect for that

    Shame it has to go

Of course it won’t get you a millionaires lifestyle for long, but you’d be comfortable doing whatever you wanted for a few years

It would certainly change my direction in life

House in France, not far from the Alps, build a woodworking shed, ride when I wanted to, skiing and snowboarding in winter

    That would do me

Do it, learn French while you’re there

    It’s a beautiful, diverse country

I’ve got friends who have lived there for 10 years, they have moved elsewhere now, but that was because of school problems with their two children

My mum also had a holiday place there for about 10 years

The bureaucracy is notorious, but keep calm and you’ll get there

I’d love to live there. Plenty of exploring to do, learning the language, learning the customs. I’m a bit of a Francophile, but only after visiting there a lot because of my Mum’s holiday home there

I’m still trying to work out how to get there on a more permanent basis…

In answer to the original question, I tip unless the service is bad

I don’t get the 10% thing though. I know that is the accepted amount, but I don’t understand why they should get more or less depending on whether I want lobster or a pizza

Early 40’s so not officially allowed to comment but I’m in pain pretty much constantly

Frozen shoulder for months, often get a stiff and painful neck that leaves me in agony for days, legs ache, hips give me gip, knees are knackered, my eyes are old and bent…

I did some grouting of the bathroom floor on Thursday evening. It’s a small bathroom, but all day Friday and Saturday I can hardly walk, and I’m not exaggerating. I had to hold on to the sink to lower myself onto the loo. I’ve been like this since my 30’s

My floor seems to be collecting scratches too

Where it’s gone through the lacquer I have used a walnut

break the walnut so the white flesh is exposed, rub it in the scratch

It’s not perfect but it hides the scratches

Mindmap- that’s a pretty big list of parts!

I was looking at an E46 thinking they were fairly bulletproof

Think I’m going to have to reconsider, I can’t afford bills like that every few months

I was hoping to get something rwd as my previous 3 cars have been and I like it a lot more than fwd

No idea what to go for now

ownership of a bike doesn’t automatically infer good character anymore than ownership of walking boots infers that you’re a cantankerous dick.

There are tools everywhere and, believe it or not, some of them ride bikes

I’ve had plenty of confrontations with walkers though, they seem to be be more vocal when they’re in a group.

The faked panic like I’m riding at 60 mph as I slowly trundle towards them is always funny

Beware the ones with red socks 😉

Second that! Can still be had for around £100.

That looks like a decent jacket

Any ideas where sells them at £100?

I can’t find anything on google

I’m struggling to remember the name of the company though, all I remember is that they were based somewhere really unexpected, I’m sure it was the Highlands
