They cant do any more than basic services im afraid. If its more than that they send it to Mojo, I know this from experience.

Also it will be £30 plus parts probably. Go to loco instead.

26 redundant? I dont plan to move on to 26 or 29 anytime
in the near future! Its fun blowing away most of the 650b/29 crew on my old 26 stumpy evo lol.

I’ve just bought 55 microswitch TA’s and they are brilliant! Really stiff and beefy 160mm.

Thanks for this , still pondering on whether to buy pikes or marzocchi , marzocchi seem
To have a great warranty and I’m not convinced by the new bladder thingy on the pikes. Sounds like a servicing nightmare .

When I rode it I did most of the climb on the fireroad which wasnt too bad. The descents were great apart from the one muddy section where I crashed into a tree and rolled down the side of the hill lol.

I rode it on the weekend after being told its finished apart from the signage. Climb is well designed as its not too steep, its fairly gradual but long. The top section is very muddy, I’m sure they’ll sort this out at some point. The rest of the descents are great, the last one is brilliant! Super fast and flowing through deciduous trees not horrible dark dingy pine trees. I will probably do an uplift day just so I can session the whole descent all day long.

I have no problem with dogs on natural trails just trail centres, when they run into my front wheel on a DH trail that I’ve paid to ride its annoying to say the least! Come on Mr Sorrel please ban them !

cheers will look for those, I rode the uplift road today and it took me 25 ish mins from the visitor center, when I was near the top I saw Rowan come out of the woods somewhere so I’m thinking of doing a Recon there as he must know the best way. unfortunately he blanked me when I tried to ask him about it.

Cheers, I tried drilling the bolt out and the bit basically melted! I guess its a hardened bolt. I think I may visit an engineering place.

I live 15 mins from Bikepark its such a chore lol! Amazing place to ride, Merthyr has a bad rep and isn’t really that bad although there are pubs that are best avoided. If you want more quaint surroundings try anywhere in the Brecon Beacons area.

The jockey wheels seem ok and not very worn. thanks very much for the offer but I’m in South Wales. I’ll be annoyed if I buy a new mech and it still ghost shifts.

    cheers

I got through 3 chains and the 1 cassette in 14 months, gritty welsh riding for you! I ride a fair bit mind.

I changed my chain and cassette at the same time only to find out the front rings needed changing too because they had worn so badly the chain was ripping off them under power. This happened even after regularly checking and replacing the chain, wear is inevitable I suppose.

I have the 2011 Stumpy expert Evo and its brilliant, not too heavy or overbuilt but amazing on the downhills. I genuinely worry about how long I can hang on to it before having to buy a new bike and thats a good thing!

Love the Pitch I bought a Stumpy Evo when they stopped making them. Personally 150mm is perfect for what I do, trails centers and natural trails around South/North Wales. I am considering putting 34’s on it though.

Thanks all, probably go for a CX bike as I think it will handle the bad roads and some trails better!

This was the hardest 48k I’ve ever done! Much harder than trail centre stuff. I felt like i had done two skylines by then end. Great event with good marshalls etc, it was freezing and muddy but great descents. Glad I took the hardtail.

I love my stumpy Evo, it rides light but is great on the downhill stuff. Glad I didn’t fall into the trap of an over built heavier bike. I have the 2011 Expert Evo and cant see me changing it for some time.
