I’ve got both and I prefer the flows, easier to get tyres on and off of and feel a bit better on a ride.

It’s not a new tyre but the maxxis crossmark does all this. The posh one but it’s a bit pricey.I’ve abused mine around afan, coed y,dales and locally.Nice and worn out in the middle now but a bit of bite on the corners and, terminator side walls.

As winter sets in I was starting to get mud in the eyes.I went from mucky nutz to mudhugger with not much difference so went back to mucky nutz with crudcatcher on downtube.Sorted.

I’ve got XTR and slx.I can’t tell that much difference when riding.the xtr are a wee bit less on/off and look a bit sexier I suppose.

I broke my hub, tried to fix it myself.i ordered the wrong parts and failed in my DIY attempts to repair it as it was out of warranty.Called up Hope, bit embarrassing and sent back everything. They called me said they’d take back the wrong bits offset it against the cost.Wheel came back BRAND NEW looking, they charged me chuff all.Blooming brilliant.Hope user for life. And they resisted the urge to call me a tw*t which they were quite within their rights to do so.

Actually that’s not all.Tony is indeed ace and then some.He helped me to ride my bike better on the day.I still use his methods and my riding gets more and more enjoyable as a result.I’d strongly advise spending some time with Tony if you would like to learn some things and get so much more out of your rides from that day on..like I did and my mate who went with me.
And….my pal also applied some of Tony’s guidance to his track days on one of those bikes with a bloody great big engine in the middle of it,that helped as well.He was thinking about packing it in but stuck with it post Tony session and now he’s a very happy chappy.
