Even in crap UK weather the instinct solar has a better battery life.   I had a vivoactive 3 before the solar and also found the touchscreen a bit annoying.

Ryanair doesn’t use the door plug because they cram so many passengers in, necessitating the additional emergency exit.  You can all relax

    As above.

    prone  to serious rust

engine issues, the engine are fragile in the first place and there are numerous reasons why you get coolant loss. When this happens the standard low  coolant alarm is insufficient and the overheating leads to the cylinder heard warping or cracking.

Easier to change roles and progress when you are in the NHS (if that’s an aspiration), often EOIs or secondments are internal trawl only.

+1 for librella.  It brought  real quality to the last few months of our dogs life. We just wish we had found out about it sooner

Crap news for anyone, only upside is that this tends to lead to an uptick in people get checked out due to the coverage

downside is that the daily heil will try and blame harry and Meghan in 3-2-1….

Oh, also courgettes. Piece of piss to grow and you get loads.

Cook down with garlic and olive oil then add cream and Parmesan for an ace pasta sauce

No, you just set the chain on when you first fit it.  It’s a single chain ring so just stays in place.

The word you’re looking for is hypocrisy.

plenty of unionists (be that with a big or small ‘u’) getting irish passports, it’s a question of pragmatism not a vote for unification.

Seems like they get an awful lot of attention.

It might seem that way to you, but it isn’t.

have you had the worst NHS waiting lists in the UK and 2 years of public sector pay freezes on the news every night? Maybe the year on year increase in drug related deaths, or the high illiteracy rates amongst working class Protestants? Or the suicide rate in young men?  Possibly the mental health crisis?  Lack of abortion facilities, maybe? How about collapse of the hospitality sector.. or it could be the delay in cervical screening? maybe even the pulling of grassroots regeneration funding.

No, probably not. Is it the DUP pantomime that has got you all excited?  But hey just cut them loose they are someone else’s problem then.

This is all very strange to me. Why is the customer being blamed for taking the cheapest procurement option in a competitive market?

Maybe I have missed the thread complaining about people buying Gregg’s sausage rolls versus alternatives  that are kept warm?

Money no object….gP5000 is the only answer for low rolling resistance, puncture protection and longevity.  If anyone has a PSA I’m all ears

This very much feels like punching down. It’s not as if the PAYE employee on basic tax is running a pick up with half tonne payload, or a PHEV in name only as a tax avoidance vehicle. A little perspective would be welcome

Bought my commuter frame direct, bought all the parts via a C2W voucher.  Also bought entire bikes on the past.

TBH I feel like playing a very small violin here.  All these middle managers with disposal income that get slagged off are PAYE employees who pay tax on pretty much  everything, with very little recourse to any other method of minimising their tax burden.

The social media companies are entirely without morals in this regard. I recently flagged an account that was sharing illegal pornographic images and the report game back saying they had not broken any rules.  🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m guessing all I did was interact with a bot and and algorithm in the entire process.

however, I think that we can all agree that the topic title doesn’t accurately reflect the actual  situation.

That’s confusing me. Assuming an 8 hr day your lads are getting £225 plus digs whilst the same grade agency staff are getting £152 less agency fees so probably £122 and no accommodation?  Sound about right?

sounds like the conditions aren’t great, but that’s understandable given the project. Does the pay reflect this?

Ask what? the OP bought his daughter some Nike fasion trainers and wonders why they are ruined after less than 6 months of general abuse by a teenager?

sorry, didn’t realise it required explanation.

currently he has zero chance of getting a refund, if he tries for a return and gets nothing he is at least no worse off but may get lucky.  I think Nike can cope

What they really mean is that the thing is poorly designed, poorly laid out and the person designing it has no understanding

I agree but it’s a lose-lose situation for the cyclist, ignore the sign and antagonise people, or make the situation worse by being wider and thus less efficient.

The half way house of one foot clipped in on the wrong side and hop along is a bit rubbish also!

At a simplistic level the armed forces have shrunk because of budget cuts.  Conscription to raise the size of the armed forces still requires a budget, and is therefore a bit useless as a mitigation to underfunding.

Seriously, try Facebook marketplace or eBay. Loads of people who invest in a bike box end up renting them for around £30 a week

    It’s just other people.

there is a bridge in my commute where cyclists are supposed to dismount, many don’t but I do my best. Was walking across it pushing my bike when a guy walking the other way screams “there is no cycling on this bridge!!!”  Maybe illiteracy is on the rise

I would if it meant a younger family member would be exempt.

that said it’s massively unlikely and we would most likely be called up for home defence purposes.

Maybe the TA needs a new recruitment drive instead?

Based on Oct-Dec sales volume then Wiggle is definitely on for a bumper year in 2024. Anyone think that is accurate?

    also

“*From July 2023.” – well that’s accurate then
