just looking at a 10 speed chainset on CRC and their picture and description doesnt say anything about it being dyna sys. not too bothered if it is or it isnt but will it be compatable with a dyna sys rear mech?. hopefully its just an old picture and they havent updated their text yet either

seems the problems are a bit hit and miss, maybe due to the pressures people are running or terrain being ridden. im not a particulary heavy rider and dont often ride in rocky/flinty areas so ill keep em on and hope for the best. cheers guys.

are these issues with the “older” versions of schwalbe tyres or the newer type, ie 2011?. do you know if they have they improved their material quality over the years or not. if not it looks like i may have to “Tread” carfully for the forseeable future!

ive heared a few “torn sidewalls” storys in the past but does this depend on where/how your riding and how much psi you have in your tyres, or is it all too common for these tyres do ya think?. still couldnt resist the weight saving though.

i think the elixir are just a replacement for the juicys but have better /easier pad installment. had juicy 5s on my last bike now have elixirs on my new one and cant tell too much difference between them tbh. as i said pad installment is much easier on the elixirs but performance wise theres nothing in it i dont think.

me too, what about running a double chainset?

    jonny-m

ive noticed that. the red and white one looks much better in other peoples photos than it seems to on their website. surely though if on one supply it with a triple chainset it must work?

nice looking bike that. How tall is your wife btw? Not sure wether i need a 16 or 18″. i will be test riding before hand obviously… it is a worry about the bb and chainring position though isnt it?
do they need to be run with just two rings up front?

does anybody use a layback seatpost on their heckler. im currently running my seat at its furthest back position and i still feel like im slipping of the back a little on the hills.

is the furthest back position on an inline post anywhere near or similar to the furthest forward position on a layback post… if that makes sense.

does any one want to swop a 30.9 thomson inline for a layback?

my kids have got on well with the specialized hotwalk balance bike. really helped with the transition to stabilisers and then no stabilisers.Basically the balance bikes give them the confidence and he had the stabilisers on for a day or two on his 14″ bike and when we took them off he was away. only 3 years old too and now confidently dropping of kerbs etc

i used to run medusa in the 1.8 vesion. great in the mud but found them very draggy on anything else. looking at the tread pattern and the mud x and storm seem to look like they might roll slightly better due to having the tread pattern a bit closer together down the centre. also the medusas are very low volume and were quite a harsh ride if i remember. are the other two any higher in volume? any thoughts

i know what you mean. as an owner and fan of the earlier specialized bikes i now find that the colour schemes and frame deigns totaly put me off buying another, i think they look minging
