    Brill thanks 8×2 it is.
I’m hoping as ridge is well supported on wall at both ends, the rafters won’t need any trusses? I want to keep roof open like so:

Just bought this for £399 on Black Friday. Pretty darn good for money. Sounds crap. But HD great from Apple TV.

My winter (turbo) bike has way more padded seat. Also try small towel folded couple of times. Bit annoying when in and out of saddle but helps.

I guess this isn’t the most exciting thread. Don’t worry I know what I’m doing now.

Your a nice neighbour. We has similar issue when selling our own house. Advised not to tell anyone, but that was our house. Surely if you neigbour sells and says he never had an issue then no problem?

Yes it is. We bought complete suite off internet £400, but its crap. My normal supplier said best he could do like for like was about £800, but they were all well known brands. My wife couldn’t live with the cheap plastic taps, so spent same again just on new taps!! False economy going dirt cheap IMO.

Pay your VAT on time would be my best advice. I didn’t and now go to do IVA. I paid min wage and extra as dividends.

Thanks twisted, after trawling so many 42 prior applications, found one that seemed to cause no probs. Clearly shows parapet wall at 3.4m. So Im guessing I can send this to architect (or maybe not as she now hates me!?)

After falling off rollers yesterday entered kiss race B today. Got sadly dropped. Annoyingly my ftp:kg is bang in middle of B race hence why I tried?
I’m guessing the guide for ftp/kg isn’t taken too seriously and riders drop down a cat to stand a better chance? I’ll try C next ??

    Mike,
Im 42 and recently been put on Ramipril 2.5mg (quite low dosage). Always get high readings when I go to doc ( over 150/100). Had all tests done – ambulatory, ECG, Stressed ECG, Cardio Echogram,
At home i can now get readings 125/75 when chilled. Drugs do help. Im fit & healthy, don’t smoke or drink. Docs advised me to try and keep my upper reading below 130. So at present on drugs and monitoring it. May be for life,, who knows.
Specialist said its not for next 5 years, but for 30 years time. I exercise normally and push myself quite hard with no ill affects. At least I had peace of mind of loads of heart tests, which might be worth getting done for peace of mind. I need to reduce my coffee intake too!! Good luck

Re. Power profile. That’s why training peaks is so good. Automatically has a power profile chart calculated from all your rides and then shows which cat you might fall in. I’m rubbish sprinter but almost cat 3 on longer efforts. I need to train my for my sprints. Great at showing your strengths & weakness.

That’s why it’s important to hit your target designated by charity. In 2012 I ran for bowel cancer and raised over £2500. Gold bond place cost them over £1000. So at least I helped. I think different charities are charged different rates. Large charities like oxfam probably pay less and hence their targets for runners are less.
Personally if I run again will be through ballot or club. As hard to ask friends and family to dig so deep again. So just meet ur set target and all is good.

I got regular 2013 Supersix & love it. Is the 2011 an Evo (or Hi Mod)? Personally I’d go for new 2013 model. For that price nothing like have a spanking new bike 😉

I went from sole trader to LTD about 1.5 years ago. Exactly same business, just for tax purposes..
Has been a bit of a headache to be honest.
What I save in tax now gets paid in accounting fees.
Also just remortgaged and that change threw a real spanner in the works for the bank. So if your thinking of buying property / remortgaging do before you change business.
Had to get new bank account & new VAT number.
Im sure there are some benefits, but at moment it has been quite a few teething problems.
Im sure accountant will advise both u & GF go on payroll, and pay basic salary, then rest in dividends.
    Good luck

I just paid for Training peaks to keeps tabs on my TSS for indoor & outdoor rides. Its great. Basic will only give u weekly TSS totals in calendar view. Premium can get far better charts to keep tabs on it over time. I also like Power Profile chart, shows how crap I am at sprinting 😉

But I want to do the 3 turbo sessions in the week

I have done that, nice to get your nose in the wind once in a while 😉
I signed up to Training Peaks and use TSS®/Week as a guide from TR’s plans. So Im sure if ur weekend ride is roughly the same TSS score or more than TR’s one, should all be good.
I quite like the structured week plan, and then just enjoy yourself at weekend 😉

I have powertap G3. Had it over 1 year. Been v. Good so far. Works great on road and in TR. Just remember to calibrate on garmin and in TR. Sometimes get slightly different calibration numbers but results are almost identical.
I hope it isn’t out I got no way of telling!! Just come to end of SSpot low vol 2. Current FTP is 260. Gonna have a break from turbo as getting a little bored. May try 8 min test in week or 2 see if there’s any improvement.

Anyone tried doing TR workouts on the road?
I have always wanted to try combine the saturday TR ride into my “out in the real world” sunday ride! 2 Birds one stone…
SO had a go sticking Kaweah in my garmin as a workout.
What a waste of time that was, its a real pain on the road!!!
Its really hard keeping power constant & starring at ur Garmin whole time is pretty dangerous.
Only advantages I can see are don’t have to do 2 wknd rides to keep to plan. Also higher power seems more achievable on the road, dunno why, just is??

Anyone else tried this or do you just keep your outside rides away from TR’s plans?

Just started sweet spot base Low Vol 2.
Found Ebbetts hard, far harder than they suggest. Maybe Im just not used to this sprint then back to FTP. I guess good one for racing? Give me Carson any day of the week;)

tyre change from an OEM Giant SR4 to a Michelin Lithion

    @Kryton57
I can’t remember if ur virtual power or PM, but I remember before I had a power meter and on virtual, tyres made a huge difference on virtual power!! IF got a PM then ignore me…
