I used to have one and it was excellent. However, unless you are planning to live in your current house forever, it may make more sense to consider a scissor lift which you can take with you from house to house. A two or four poster would be ideal if you have a tall enough garage. If not then a scissor lift gives you about 1.5 m clearance under the car.

I have the Dualit one. Works well with my Gaggia Classic without having to pay silly money.

AS TJ says, if you freeze the new bearings first they drop in beautifully!

There is a treatment that you can get that is not based on pyrethroids or other insecticides. It effectively dehydrates the adult and larval lice, thus killing them. You then re-apply when the next cohort of larvae emerge from the nits and so on until done. It's very effective. You can get it in Boots.

self-amalgamating tape works well. Otherwise, zip-tied inner tubes. Lizard skins etc seem to last no time at all on my bike but that's because I toe-out heavily so my heels are often rubbing the swing-arm.

I believe the company was started by Lester Noble who worked for Tushingham sails and Steve Wade who had the background in sheet metalwork.

Nice work! looking to do something similar with my garage. What hooks have you used to hold the bikes up, and are they screwed to the wall or the wooden joists?

Fingers crossed from me also. It may well be something other than cancer but if it is try and stay as positive as possible. A lot of Cancers are very treatable these days and the treatments are not as harsh as they used to be. I was diagnosed with cancer last October and am pretty sure I am free of it now (subject to a final scan in September). I was treated with a combination af radio and chemotherapy. My advice is, as others have said, to always have someone with you and/or a notebook during consultations because it's so easy to forget what has been said. Take things one step at a time and make sure you find as much information about your condition as possible. The Lance Armstrong approach is a good one.
Wishing you all the very best luck.

Don’t get a Plec. The most common species that you find in aquarium shops grow absolutely massive. They are really not suitable for small tanks. If you want something to keep down green algae on glass and plants then Otocinclus are excellent.

I think you just have to be vigilant and get any unusual lumps seen to by a doctor as soon as possible. Problems arise when people hang about to see if it gets any worse. In my case I became aware of a lymph node in my neck that had swollen to about the size of a small marble. I had no other symptoms at all. After scaring myself by reading about supraclavicular lymph nodes on the internet I went to see my GP. I got a referal and scan the same day and after a biopsy I had a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for which I have now started chemotherapy. The prognosis is very good for me because the cancer has been caught at an early stage. Like I said, you don’t want to hang about with these things.
