i pissed in the sink at a cosmo restaurant once.

the sink was a low porcelain trough in a room that the cubicles led off i thought it was odd for a urinal. in my (rubbish) defence there were no taps- jets of water out of the wall to wash your hands under. it was a communal toilets but there was no one in there when i walked in……. mid flow a cubicle door opened and a beautiful woman looked at me in horror

    i couldn’t stop i was mid flow

mortified doesn’t even come close 😳

i have discovered that places like b+q and wickes price match +10% any local merchant.

the days of the diy superstores being more expensive than the builders merchants is long gone. plus they have a website listing all their stock and the prices. plus they are open till 8pm and all weekend. the only thing the merchants are for any more is credit accounts but for £10% extra you might as well just use a credit card.

“if you can’t tell how a website is being funded, you’re the product”

same as on here really, this ‘free’ website is funded through the ads, which is why its one of very few sites that i have adblocker turned off for.
however, in the world of illegal streaming sites, the ads are a potentially little more vicious

there is a quote from ‘the martian’ (book) that is fitting grum…

“…….they did it because every human being has a basic instinct to help each other out. It might not seem that way sometimes, but it’s true.
If a hiker gets lost in the mountains, people will coordinate a search. If a train crashes, people will line up to give blood. If an earthquake levels a city, people all over the world will send emergency supplies. This is so fundamentally human that it’s found in every culture without exception. Yes, there are assholes who just don’t care, but they’re massively outnumbered by the people who do.”

the genuine help i have seen offered to people here often astounds me, from incredible donations of cash when i was raising sponsorship in memory of my friend, to people sending pretty high end bits of kit free to those desperate to get their bike rolling again, to people taking time to keep someone talking long enough to see it through the darkest of nights.

it may seem like the people on here would argue constantly but when the shit hits the fan this place is a reminder of how people the world over have a basic instinct to help one another out

I’m quite interested to know what Mr Oliver thinks ought to be included in a fish finger butty.

ketchup under the fish fingers and (he stresses this point) you have to press down on the top of the completed sandwich

i have one that has a recipe for a fish finger sandwich in it. as in, grill some fish fingers and put between 2 slices of bread. takes up 2 pages as it has a photo.

i spent 3 weeks wandering the atlas about 15 yrs ago.
we didnt go up toubkal, due to unseasonal snow, but to be honest i probably wouldnt have anyway.
in fact once we had found a guide with a mule we got him to take us immediately away from all that tourist stuff. think we paid the guide 200 euro and so little on food and board staying with families that i cant even remember
it was and still is the most amazing place ive ever been and the friendliest happiest people ive ever spent time with.
no electricity, no litter, no chatter for multiple glorious weeks. it was like stepping back in time a few hundred years.

i bet its all ruined now though 😆

edit; oh, i got a cracking dose of dysentery and shit myself in front of a policeman as i was coming down out of the mountains- don’t drink shepherd’s mint tea at altitude

you have to leave them mate. violence in a relationship (or anywhere) has no happy ending. shut the door, don’t look back, and walk away. the only cure for a broken heart is a new love in your life. mtfu is a joke you know that but get back on the horse is sound advice.

[this isn’t from personal experience, this advice comes from helping my best mate through, out of, and after, a really abusive relationship. he is a big bloke and im proud to say he never rose to it, even when i had a phone call when he had locked himself in the bathroom and she had the kitchen knife out. he really really loved her and couldn’t see past the relationship, but he is a very happy boy now, and im sure you will be too. most people dont treat each other like that]

nice! a cheeky tip for swivel seats is to look for a vw sharan/ford galaxy/seat alhambra on gumtree etc that is being broken for parts. the fronts swivel. bolt straight into sprinters/lt35 but im sure you could make it work. last pair i got were £50. keep existing seatbelts and clips and as with the night heater get someone to check your work
