Persistence with a firm but gentle bedtime routine and putting the child back to bed with no ‘rewarding’ responses (even a telling off can be ‘rewarding’ in some circumstances) It may take a good few nights (more than the week you’ve tried). It may seem holier than thou and out of the text books, but it does work. I’ve used the technique with both my kids. There’s a book called “teach (or maybe help) your child to sleep through the night” that I used with my first child when I thought I was going to die of sleep deprivation or murder him first. There’s bound to be a website with more detailed info on how to do it. It’s a ‘behavioural’ technique so you could google that.
Too many sub categories is not good. Have you ever tried to find your way round Descent World, or Bike Radar? I can never decide which section to put a post in, so I just don’t bother. Nice and simple is best. (Jeeze, I sound like a singlespeeder!!)
Are you allowed to like both? I like to be out in the mountains away from it all and don’t mind if there’s a bit of road, forestry track or landy track. I also like to scare myself sh*tless on tooth rattlingly rocky descents and challenging myself to try bigger drops. My latest hyperventilation inducing challenge has been trying to learn to do rocky, cliff-edge switchbacks in Spain and Italy. Not quite got it down without squealing and swearing a lot though.
Really good pic, Jedi. To me, the greenishness that Simon is talking about looks like a natural stormy sky and you don’t need to fiddle with it. Only my opinion though.
