Trouble is Stu, 29" wheels, gears and orange paintwork is totally the wrong combo for the Monkey.

If anyone thinks cannock is boring they must just be those granny ring spinners, you know the type, all the kit still shit types!
It needs to be ridden fast like a whore!

Pity that the werewolf dropped was dumbed down for the novices.

It's the negativity towards Cannock of your first post. Slagging a trail off cos it's boring and hasn't got enough jumps is purely based on what you would like from a man made trail. Cannock is great cos you can ride it as a loop or dip in and out of it whilst riding the cheeky stuff in between. I'm biased tho cos I live within 3 miles of the place. I've ridden the Chase seriously for 8 years and before that as a kid over 30 years ago and I am still discovering new trails.

And another thing, there is another method of riding the follow the dog section. Locals know of it. Trail centre mbr reading all mountain types may not be privvy to this.

Apparently some gayers are riding it with suspension and gears FFS!

Try riding it when it's wet and at a grown ups speed.

Lets see now, there's about 5 jumps on the section 8 where you decide on the monkey or to stay on the FTD, there's 2 or 3 on each of the Lower Cliff and Upper Cliff section, there's a couple of rocky jumps on the sections before the rollers, there the end of the bridge near swinnos, there's the jump off the end of Hugh's bridge, there's also various humps on the first section of the Monkey and several on a couple of sections after that. Just how many fingers have you got?
It aint a freeride course but a great fun XC course which begs to be ridden fast. You've gotta admit that the final couple of swoopy downhill sections on the Monkey are just brilliant.

We live in a 1920's semi. Shared drive with a complete nutter who wants to beat the crap out of me. Give me an ugly detached newer house any day of the week.
Can't put a price on real boundaries. You don't know who you gonna buy next to or who may move in.

We usually set off from Cannock around 4am, miss the worst of the stuff and get to Bude in time for the cafe to open and enjoy a full English at breakie time. Much easier IMO with 2 kids in a car.

I had keyhole surgery. They did a procedure called a nissen fundification. They wrap the top of the stomach around the outside of the stomach valve to reinforce the closing of it. I had it done 6 weeks ago. Since then it has totally stopped heartburn and reduced reflux massively. Before that I could not go a day without prescription ppi's. A 2 day stay in hossi and sloppy food for a week after.

I had one for exactly the same reason a few months back. I asked for the sedation and they gave it – don't recall anything from the procedure. Diagnosis was GERD, opted for and had surgery to tighten up the stomach valve – worked a treat!

Had mine done a few weeks ago Dave, 2 weeks old, parked on my drive, fecker walked up the drive and keyed right along the drivers door. Funnily enough, Cannock town centre. It is a bit of a pastime around these parts. If you walk from mine up to the town, any cars that are parked on the road, most of em have been done.

Same here – breaks the day up. AutoCAD is hungry enough to slow stuff up to allow the intermediate surf time.

Powerwasher up Cannuk. A good mile of cheeky natural woodsie singletrack. Not massively long but worth a mention.

Best way is as you ride down the dark fireroad link then turn right at the gravel clearing to approach the 1st of the 2 last switchback climbs (Upper Cliff), don't go up the singletrack climb on the Monkey but follow the fireroad up to the metal barrier by the road at Beau Old Park, turn left then follow the doubletrack fireroad adjacent to the road up to Style Cop crossroads.

47 mph on an old Marin full susser, from the Cat and Fiddle Pub back down towards the Derbyshire Bridge Car Park on the tarmac – very frightening.

Try these if they have your size:

Bought a pair last year to replace some Enduras which had it's stiching seperate after a couple of rides. The Gore have been great – a full winters riding and look like they'll easily last another couple. They may last even longer if I fit a rear crud guard!

I thought that within Outlook there was a way of retrieving a message that hadn't been open and read by the intended recipient. Not quite what you were asking but could be of use if it's actually possible.

Yep – pretty sure it's a 2002 Wolf Ridge. I think they went to the Quad Link in 2003. IIRC the Attack Trail was a different spec but available in white instead.
Check the rear swing arm for cracks where the lower brace welds to the underside, also check the back of the seatpost for small cracks as well. I had replacements for cracks in both those areas.

If only Fox would send them to the same place as Marzocchi used to send their MX comps a few years ago.
I had a set of MX Comps, used em for years, only occasionally wiped the stantions and oiled em when I used to remember – not a mark on em – ever.
Rockshox are lots better but still suffer the same fate.
It's all down to substandard metal treatment processes – nothing more.
The consumer is happy to spend £600-£700 on forks that are quite obviously not durable enough for the environment that they are designed to operate in.
The fact of the matter is that they are used weekly in muddy abrasive conditions and will get cleaned by the majority of riders most weeks – each time they will get wiped down and the seals and stantions wiped and lub'ed – that's all. I guess thats all the maintenance most people will expect to be doing. So why can't the manufacturer spend a little more R&D in the durability properties of their products rather than the latest bullshit wastegate/lockout valve/port technology that really no-one can honestly tell the difference in from one year to the next….
