    Chinese Titanium- avoid!
Used to have one of those Setavento(?) Custom titanium frames, where you gave them your measurments and they took em to China then brought your custom frame home, or so the story goes.
Now I had a Rock Lobster Ti for 12 years, absolutely hammered it, drove it at great speed into a tree on Afan ZigZags, did thousands and thousands of miles on it,looked like new when I eventually sold it.
That Setavento broke into two at the seat stays dropping off a dropped kerb whilst riding home from work.
Now maybe the Rock Lobster was Chinese, it was certainly value for money, so maybe not all Chinese Ti is the same, but I would avoid a custom frame again.

My workmate sent his father, a Spitfire anorsk, up in one for his 90th birthday. Think it cost him about 3 grand for a 30 min or so flight and a nose around the workshop, which apparently he was more interested in.

Not impaled, but did slit the inside of my thigh when i went head first into a tree stump, did a massive endo, just managed to avoid going over the bars, then slid vertically down the top tube, where the razor sharp brake hose bosses proceded to slit my leg open with an 8″ gash and a vein poking out.

Maybe the Dreadnoughts if you like that type of thing? Not the folk album, obviously.
Or, maybe the all time feelgood metal album of all time
I Get Wet by Andrew WK.

No kids, offloaded the little pests onto Gran and Big Sis for a week. Result!
Cow tipping? We had a version we did when we were kids where we waited for a high tide, rowed over the salt marsh to where the cows were marooned on the small island, and whacked them on the arse with a paddle.

My vote goes to an Isuzu masquerading as a Vauxhall Brava, I had one and it never let me down. I hideously overloaded it with crap, flung bikes in the back, danced on it, drove it into bushes to pick apples and christmas holly. Moved houses, moved kids, moved bricks, did everything I asked of it.
I would have one again in a second.

Try soaking in PlusGas, for a good few hours at least, and I mean drench it.
Then, get a stilson, and a length of pipe which will fit over the stillson handle. Thick wall tubing like steam pipe or scaffold tube is best. Now secure the frame as tight as you can.
Slip pipe over stillson handle and apply even ,measured pressure until the teeth of the jaws startvto bite. If you’ve never used a stilson before, its critical you get the orientation of the jaws correct. Checking they bite is crucial, if they dont feel solid, rotate the wrench 180 degrees ie flip it over. Reapply pressure, evenly and gradually. Do not snatch at the stilson.
Leverage is king here, work smarter not harder. If its still no go, increase the length of lever you are using on the handle. Onceyou get movement, drench in PlusGas again and repeat. Try to use as short a lever as you can get away with to prevent the chance of the post shearing off in the frame.
I fix press tooling for a living, 10 tons plus, and we can move these with a 5′ bar using leverage.
    Good luck.

I reckon you just make it clear that the bearings may be shot out of courtesy, then leave it up to them. For all you know, they might work in a bike shop or be equipped enough at home to do the job themselves, if indeed it bothers them enough to sort it. I think most people are aware of whats involved, if theyre up to it or not, and will make a decision to buy or not taking this into account.

Had Dura ace on an old Boardman Pro, it was buttery smooth, very nice indeed.

Know any toolmakers/ machinists? Those presses are an easy peasy job , made from scrap bin material. If you cross their palms with beer, fags or whatever their poison is, I’m sure they’d knock you one up in a jiffy.

Ha! Thanks for the heads up about Hambini mate, his video on pressfit v threaded BB explained pretty much all my queries away. Bloke is legit too, every engineer who actually knows their onions that I’ve met swear like troopers.

Glad to hear so many positive thoughts on the Lefty, Ive wanted one for years. The lack of flex appeals to me as well ad its aesthetics and quirkiness, as apart from a pair of fox forks I had on an Orange Crush years ago, I’ve never had a pair of forks which felt particularly solid under me at speed, and I ride like a minge.
Is there any problem getting spare hubs for them, I imagine only Cannondale would supply them? Whereabouts are folks getting their service info from? Thanks for the replies.

I’ve had all sorts of supposedly large, load carrying vehicles (estates, land rovers, jeeps, etc.) and by FAR the most useful for carrying bikes was an old isuzu pickup, we could just launch the bikes into the rear tub, they were secure enough. Never had to worry about messing up the interior of a van with sticky Welsh clag . Also never had to worry about the bikes getting nicked overnight, etc though, so probably not the best choice these days.

No idea if this is of any use to you mate, but a chinese takeaway box filled with PlusGas always brings my chains up magnificently.
Also, the electrolyte fluid out of a spark eroder , placed in an ultrasonic cleaner will get a chain absolutely sparkling.
