After hearing about postage issues with rear shocks, is there a way of protecting against it being removed and destroyed in a controlled explosion?

Did the service fix the problem? I have done a simple strip down and rebuild with the service kit but the lever still flops around doing very little. Is there another part to the service that can only be carried out by experts?

I was very careful not to mention wheel size, it was more about the full sus and dropper. Now look what you have done 🙂

I will have to get another reverb for the Sherpa, after today it just made life so much nicer.

Anyone signed up for the QECP night Enduro event? I was bullied into it, I should have stood my ground but I weakened under pressure. I may die!

People management is just tedious drivel.

I moved from a technical role to a manager role a cpl of years ago, the people management bit was the most rewarding part of the role. It’s great to see how team members can develop given the right tools and motivation, I really got s lot from this book First Break all The Rules
Easy to read and easy to carry out, and gets results.

Very watchable programme, the CR couple freaked Mrs 2000 and myself out though, very odd. The sh!t swapping thing nearly had me bring my dinner up, thought he was actually going to do it!

Glad it ended with the chap who just eats a bit less than normal and quite a balanced diet, at least that is almost achievable.

Oh and blue shorts fruitarian, happy to share a banana with her……

It’s a gift so rather than buying something they have had before it is an attempt to offer a new experience. But risk comes with this strategy 🙂

I would get the weird one as well but it could end up a bit shit and as its a gift I would feel rubbish for recommending it.

2012 Cotic Rocket, hasn’t been ridden for a while because it’s no fun dragging to through gloop, I use the Sherpa for that. Will be out again with its tiny wee wheels as things get drier.

Evening ride with BigShep today, last time we tried this route his crank arm kept falling off so we had to knock it on the head after about 10 miles. Tonight we set out full of hope and after 3 miles my rear mech started playing up, eventually we fixed it and 2 miles later I got a massive thorn in the tyre. Fixed that, then spent the rest of the ride with a slow puncture, third time lucky maybe?

Still managed 22 miles and it was a good workout.

Being 20 mins into a journey to your ride destination only to remember that you left the front through axel on top of the workbench in the garage.

Local loop through Bere Forest today with my daughter. First time out for her on a 26er after moving up from 24, she did great. Probably helps that it’s a carbon frame and she weighs a lot less than me but she sailed through the boggy stuff whilst I trudged through it. Really enjoyed it, lng ride with BigShep tomorrow, I know not where.

Any update mboy? I am still liking mine, was out with a friend the other day and his tyres were clogged up and mine were pretty clear, seem to shed mud well.

As above, friend went to bluestone in Wales and rated it highly

Garage dweller- I have been staying clear of the red first section as it’s tough enough going up in the dry never mind the wet. May give it a go this weekend based on your experience, I normally start on the blue and then do a cpl of mini loops round the central red/blue section and then finish on the 2nd half of the red which is a lot less prone to bogginess.

I rode the blue and a cpl of sections of the red at QECP last week and it was ok. There is one gloopy bit just after the red and blue split but the rest was ok. I imagine the first half of the red has some sticky bits mind.
