Don’t leave it, apparently the windscreen is part of the structural integrity of the car, or so I was told. This might be utter bollocks but it seems to make sense. Also it will slowly get bigger and your drives to work will become more stressful as your mind plays tricks on you. Has it just got bigger? No, no, it’s still the same as when I set off, no, no it is defiantly moving, arrggghhhhhhh it’s going to fall in on me arggghhhhh.

Maybe it’s just me, I am a bit of a worrier

Just started letting 8yr old go to the park with his sister who is 11. No roads to cross and back within the hour or there will be trouble, would not be out after tea time though. Back when I was a young un I was allowed out all day but it was all very local and with a bunch of mates.

Just found out they used a crow bar and bent the frame, now they can’t fit new glass until body shop has it. It’s now a proper claim not just glass so more £££££

I get your point, I guess all I think about when getting car insurance is the car. And when doing the home insurance I pick all the individual expensive items like bikes and jewellery, and have them listed so covered outside. I didn’t think to insure my socks 🙂

Lesson learnt Wheelie, I was naive. I am still smarting today, got ready to take the children to karate reached for my boots, agh right no boots. Trying to think of things to sell to replace the bag, feel really bad losing a gift like that.

I will give you that, most of their stuff is top notch and if you have the funds then a nice thing to have, however! A shopping basket?

It’s all gone tits up. This will teach me to pay the minimum on insurance. No cover outside house on home insurance so I am down 700 quid. Gutted is not even close

Interesting thought wiggles. Trouble is that the stolen socks plus other stuff comes in at around 700 quid and the bag had sentimental value sonwantnto replace that like for like

Hora, I think I was a little naive with regards to what I thought was worthy of theft. I hid the expensive bag, the laptop, the wallet, etc etc, but not for one minute did I think my ted baker socks would drive someone to crime! The more I think about it the more I am sure I was watched going back to the car after attempting to get changed. My mates 5 series Beemer was tucked aWay in a secluded corner of the car park and wasn’t touched, my little silver fiesta was in plain site of everyone in the middle of the car park. If I was a thief checking random cars the Beemer was the low risk option.

Police are calling back this morning to get details. It’s just a right pain, insurance premium will rise, I was supposed to be driving to Cornwall today for a stag do, can’t do that without a window. Bit miffed

White forks, I think white will work with red

Matt black was another thought as it happens but I feel it needs something to break up the black. My Sherpa is green so as much as I like it as a colour I don’t want two the same. Matt black and candy apple red are the top two at the moment.

I tend to agree George, maybe red/black not red/white

Thanks ryderredman but I want to go for something original. Probably the only chance I will get to do this so might as well attempt to do something a little different. Saying that I have always liked the Cotic green so I may change my mind.

Drive home? Ride home, a very tired ride home it was as well.

Well that added a new dimension to cycling for me. Ride from Fareham to Butser Hill and then bivvy overnight and drive home in the morning. Didn’t think I would enjoy the bivvy bit but it was surprisingly comfortable, I didn’t get any sleep mind, someone had to stay awake to keep the other two safe from badgers and axe murderers!

Started with a lay in until 9.30 then made my own bacon sarnie and moonched around a bit. Went off and did the 22 miles from Fareham to QECP and met wife and son there, took son off for a bimble round the blue trail and finished off with coffee and a sandwich. Daughter came home this evening so a few presents and hugs were had, all very nice and I get out of doing the ironing.

Are you sure about the date? I was going to go but thought it was the 6th which clashes with a FT gig.

Going to see him next weekend at Meonfest. Just a solo acoustic performance I think but should be good, taking the children as well so usual warnings about bad language required beforehand 🙂

CG – we got there at about 8.30 and here were loads of free parking spaces, not one car in the overflow which surprised me. When we finished about 11.30 not a space to be had. Saying that the trails were still pretty empty.

Tanks aren’t dull. Pics of tanks would be even better.

Swinley for me this morning, love,y weather and no falling off. Was told to be careful as I start a new job next week so kept the wheels firmly on the ground despite some peer pressure from Mr Tall. Great ride and great company.
