Here are the other bits of the other topic so you don’t have to repeat yourselves
Just had my first puncture on new bike and went to undo the rockshox maxle to remove front wheel and found that the cut out that gives the grip to turn the thing has chewed up. I managed to get it off but am a bit peeved that its happened as the thing is only a few months old. Is this a common thing to happen to this part? Have I caused it by over tightening? Can I claim on warranty?
Cheers
J

It’s normal for them to wear a little in use but if this is the first time you’ve had the wheel out, that’d suggest crash/scrape damage rather than wear?

Just noticed the title of this topic! Maxed question? Bloody auto correct.
Sorry I didn’t make myself clear up there^^ I have had it n and off for cleaning and transporting but hadn’t noticed anything major but today a chunk of the metal just sheared off when I was trying to undo it. I would take a pic but its pointless as I can’t for the life of me figure out how to put a pic up n here without linking to flikr.
