Thanks Rob, will probably keep the bits but only because they are red and shiny.

Thanks eemy, I have fitted the BB but appear to have a load of parts left over. This might be due to the info you posted thanks, will pop a picture of the bits in a minute when I have gone through the pain of uploading, sharing, finding the correct code etc etc 🙂

So it looks like i have a working bike but have parts left over from the BB as supplied. I might die.

Christ if I went out on my bike along a route like that after a lay off I would be puffing like an, erm, puffy thing that was out of breath rather than loving it. I am guessing you were rather fit before you had the lay off 🙂

Sounds a great ride, and you sound happy, nice post 🙂

OK I am off to give it a go, if it doesn’t fit there could be a cheap press fit bb on here this afternoon

    Tactical Dismount

    That sounds much more proffesional.

Has anyone on here fitted a press fit bb92 token before? I can’t find any instructions on tinter web and the link on the On One site doesn’t work.

I didnt ride the first half of the red route as it is the first bit to get boggy. The half I rode was a bit wet in places but not to horrendous, will be dry if we get a cpl of days without rain. The section I rode of the new shipwrite or shipmans way was boggy. The new section I found was full of various trails but it did seem to be separated from QECP. Not sure if I was supposed to be in there but there was a fair bit of man made stuff going on so I’m certainly not the only rider to wander in there. I did almost die at one stage as I followed a trail which connected to a rather adventurous downhill bit, I fell off on purpose before I got out of control!

Wow! My legs are shot to bits. 3hrs messing around in some woods out the back of QECP and then a section of the red trail. Good fun but I really so wish I could get some fitness back lol

@jambalaya, i was considering that race as well unfortunately it falls on the boys birthday weekend once more so I won’t get to either the race or the bike fest.

Sorry to all you workers out there, just donning the gear and heading off to QECP to have a play 🙂 😀

I am hoping to get out at least twice probably once along the sdw and then a mess around at QECP. Anyone else out and about?

Ended up buying a complete Token BB from On One to try out, pretty much the same price as the bearings at 22 quid.

Excellent, thanks spicy. Do you know a good source for the bearings?

Fair point, haven’t got to the point where i need to work that one out. Although I feel a lot more comfortable about her walking on a pavement than riding on the road around here. Fingers crossed there are a load more cycle routes built in the next 5 years.

That people, is why my daughter is taking up mountain biking and not road riding. A tree wouldn’t leap out on you like that. Horrific bit of driving but at least he stopped and went to help.

Actually that’s a lie probably more like 12 months.

It lasted about 6 months but to be fair it has been well and truly submerged in water and mud all winter. Really easy to fit and remove and the info on the part is K-TYPE-BB 92 for 89.5×41 0r 92×41 frames part number EK08235

That’s a pretty good indication of the speed I ride over that kind of terrain. If only I had a camera so I could show you…………………….

    Keep talking you filthy beast!

Don’t know what you mean jamie??? All I was saying was that sucking on a teat is preferable to squirting direct into the mouth unless of course its a really dirty thing you are dealing with and then squirting is probably the order of the day

    johnj2000

I have the same problem and just squirt into mouth rather than closing lips around the teat. Would much rather have lips on the teat though so may try one of the suggestions

Some nice pics there, good to see people out riding. Heavens have opened again today and roads were filling up with water again. Hope it stops soon.

Schoolboy error! Didn’t check the master calendar for this weekend. We have a wedding to go to, will be a good wedding so looking forward to it but it does damage my riding opportunities. Probably the only likely time free would be really early sat morning.

garage-dweller, hi. daughter is up to about 15 miles of flat bridleway and son about half that i would say. looking for something that will help them learn that not everything is flat and safe, so some single track and a few short hills, a bit of variety is what’s required. Liphook is close enough as long as it’s worth the drive, thank you. 🙂

Sounds a good day bikebouy. Just got back from Botley Wood again, rode from my house this time rather than drive. I have to say my full suss bike is shocking to ride on the road 🙂 I was right not to risk the kids on that section of road, will try out the Whitely option you mentioned. Someone needs to get down there with a chainsaw and get rid of the trees that have fallen across the trails, do you know if the forestry lot do much in there?

I still have problems doing it, you’re not alone in this ineptitude. I use Flickr and it’s rather painful getting the BB code from there as well.

I am no help but hope it’s some comfort that you are amongst other numpties 🙂

Talking of Bluebells, yesterday in Botley wood we saw carpets of them and today at our 2nd choice ride of Wickham railway we saw loads again, stunning.

recorded it and looking forward to it, as above, Martin Freeman is generally a good call.

I blame you Bikebouy, it was Botley Woods trying to get in from the titchfield lane side. Went there yesterday and it’s perfect for the kids to ride but on arrival i realised that the parking was at least 400m from the entrance and along the hideous road that no one abides by the 40mph speed limit and no footpath. Not good for a 9 and 6yr old.

Is there an entrance that you can actually get to without dying Bikebouy? No problem with me on my own but really want to get the kids in there for a play.

Never been in Micheldever woods sorry Daftvader.

If you would all excuse me for a moment so i can have a rant in the privacy of our Hampshire thread.

@@@***!!! england @@!??>> roads@@??”” cars @£$*&^ children’s safety @£$%$£ unable to get to a place i would love my children to ride because the roads are unsafe and you can’t park close enough. @!%$£@! Wan$£@!

There, fed up and frustrated as I got all the bikes loaded up and promised the children a new ride in some woods and just couldn’t get close enough to make a safe entry.

OK rant over, as you were 🙂
