Rode the new blue this evening, bit twitchy in parts with the loose new surface but good fun. Had a bit of a navigational error as we missed out the new drops. If anyone can explain where we went wrong that would be great

Interesting ride out with big Shep tonight. One split hope hub for him and a damaged stansion for me, expensive ride 🙁

Still despite the issues it was the first ride for over two weeks due to the holidays and at least my damage didn’t stop me getting round the full route, unlike Marks.

Anyone been on the new blue route yet? We heard today that’s it’s rather fast and good fun.

Hi,many short people 5’8″ had any experience on these bikes? The sizes quoted on the new frame seem quite long.

I am currently toying with the idea of a hardtail and I do like something a bit different so this looks very interesting.

I bend all my Presta valves with the track pump, flimsy as hell they are. Much prefer schrader for their more robust character but like you have shyed away from drilling.

Realised that my mum might have been the only mum to have said that so the target audience is very small.

Like my mum always said when I was messing around ” it’s always funny until someone loses an eye”

I wish. But I am still, tied up sunning myself in Menorca so bike freedom is yet another weekend away:-(

To be fair the sun and lack of work do make up for it a little 🙂

The only consolation for me this evening is that I have Aguero in my FF line up 🙁

Did you start a thread about wheel size recently? Just sayin 🙂

On a more serious not, bloody annoying but oddly there are people out there who just do things like this for no apparent reason. I always try to avoid the conspiracy theory angle as it will just drive you mad, however it’s always worth reporting just in case it can help someone else.

Probably just a random wazzock though.

I have been pondering Apple TV for a while as we have a iMac and ipad so it seems the logical next step, this might have clinched the deal.

Ahhhhh I see now why people would get upset if they had planned hours of quality viewing via a dodgy internet site 🙂

Thanks for the link though suburb, will check it out.

So can you actually watch these races on tv then? If so where?

Always find it hard to understand how it can be a spoiler when the only way I find out about anyone’s success is via this forum but if someone has recorded it is going to watch it later then it’s a fair point I guess. But (which basically eliminates everything I said before) if I didn’t want to know a football result I would stay away from all football media. Just saying…….

Do the XT’s have to have those expensive pads with the cooling fins? That might make my mind up for me if I was in the market for some.

Sorry bout that CG. Life got in the way of riding or should I say I binge viewing of the killing in Netflix saw me hit the sack at 4am and awake at 13.00! Ahh the pleasures of having the family away for a a few days 🙂

We did our first family festival a couple of weekends ago. Two things we really could have done with were more clothes for nighttime, it’s amazingly cold in a tent, and also a bucket to pee in. Everything had been covered but key things I would say:
    Wipes
    Head torch
Mattress and pillow or make pillow by stuffing sleeping bag carrying sack with some cloths. Saves you carrying pillows
Credit card and cash, check to see if cha machines are on site, these will cost you about £2.50 though.
As few clothes as you can live with, I stayed in the same layers all weekend and didn’t smell that bad.
Consider the distance you need to transport all your stuff, car park was close for us.
Hunter wellies! I felt like an outcast as I don’t have any and everyone else did.
