Going to try it out tomorrow Mattbee, have ridden the top section a few times and it has a habit of lulling you into a false sense of awesomeness. I have almost had incidents and the stark reminder that I am not awesome at all 🙂

Why did they need to turn over the left overs of the British reliant? It wasn’t like it was in the way. Am I just being over picky?

so where am I now? Tonight I wanted to open a word doc, it took about a minute to open, same with email. Browser opens quick and loads pages fine, but then back to a Microsoft product like excell and it takes forever???

I know Chinese Charlie from Chichester but i’m afraid I don’t know Alex. Sounds like a top bloke and one I wouldn’t mind knowing, well done Alex and the ladies.

I had an awful feeling it was going to turn bad as Alex drove up in an Audi………..

@Johnny, loved that paint on your Rune, I was chatting with you at the top on a Cotic Rocket. Next respray might be a bright one 🙂

Enjoyed it so much more this year, probably due to the fact I didn’t fall off at all, unlike last year. Did all 4 stages in practice which meant I was shagged for the pedally bits on stage 3&4 which Showed in my times. I do t know how much I learn in practice, next year I might just save my energy.

The ruby beer from the bar was awesome, anyone remember the name of the brewery?

Thanks to all the organisers and marshals, much appreciated x

They wake me up at around 3am doing laps around out house chasing each other. Despite being woken I usually spend a good 20 mins watching them from the bedroom window. I like them despite the stinking poo

Hoping to better my almost last place from 2015, light fell off on the final stage. That obviously made the difference between where I finished and a podium place! Anyone else in the fun catagory?

Not sure of the savings versus a BMW but there probably are some to be had, have you had a look at that new Ford Mondeo that is not called a Mondeo? Looks bloody lovely and will drive very well, I think it’s called a Vignale.

Just to hijack slightly, my Mac is running a lot slower than ever before, lots of wheel spinning especially on start up. Of the suggestions above is there one that would specifically root out the cause of the slow down?

Last week the front wheel wiped out going downhill I slid nicely through the mud scraping both knees and winding myself. It wasn’t until I tried to get back on the bike I noticed pain in the inner thigh area, subsequent viewing found a massive bruise about an inch from my left bollock! Bars or seat I am not sure but I was very close to damaging a man part!

@Lummox if you want to park at Wickham the road is Old Station Road and they have built a new car park so loads of spaces.
@CG sorry to hear that, Lymes makes me nervous for the kids and us riders, we found a tick in my daughters head after a lovely day out messing in the grass at a country park. Fortunately all seems ok, such a shame even nature is trying to stop us enjoying the outdoors now! Hope things heal fast for you xx

Had a really messy ride the other day, Winchester Hill was an utter mare to get up. Wheels solid with clay and wouldn’t turn, had to carry or slide it up, took over 20 mins to get up 🙂

@nwill1 – best talk to Ali about cost, I know what it would have been but I don’t want to say in public in case I set expectations incorrectly. There is a menu of price options and this was a slightly more simple design than some of the airbrushed beauties he does.

I will say the price seems very fair for the quality, time and skill that goes into each frame. He is a perfectionist and I like that 🙂

Tyres were a gift and are actually very good. I quite like the grey stripe. Saddle is a saddle, don’t sit on it that much on this bike, it is much more important on the Stanton for long XC rides.

I am very very happy with it. You can see the pearl effect better on the close up frame only shots. Has a satin finish to it which scuffs a little easier than gloss but looks lovely in the sunlight.

    Fatcreations did an awesome job

Trying to figure out if you have found somewhere I haven’t ridden Wheelie. Was it across from 100 acre car park?

Bere is drying out quite nicely now and you can get a decent ride in without dragging yourself through mud

Not a thing but an experience. I just noticed today that there is a Marvel Comic stage show thing happening later this year. Iron Man, Spidey and all, I am considering it for my soon to be 9 yr old.

Back on topic, most played with things over the long term by my lad are the dragons and warriors made by that company either a German sounding name. Scholer, Sheir, something like that.

Hi CG. I ride Bere and West Walk an awful lot, if you are on Strava then you should be able to see my regular route if you can find me. John Nicholson, Fareham. It is muddy at the moment but still rideable if you like that sort of terrain, much nicer when it is dry.

Also allows you a link on to the South Downs if you join the old railway line and head right as you come out of the woods.

I think I must just eat loads more than anyone else. Even when I ramp my exercise up to 5 days a week I see absolutely no reduction in weight. I am permafat
