Coventry to Crawley Saturday morning for sons football tournament. Then home again in the afternoon.

Then the same again on Sunday morning / afternoon.

Was going to stay the night but hotels are very expensive.

Hopefully roads will be quiet going as it will be early morning.

My parents have just got one similar and they are late 70 and late 80. They have been caravaners all their life and are getting on fine.
    My mum is driving it.

    They love it.

I bought Wild Bikes for my boy. Good value and light.

I used to buy Isla but for the riding boys do the Wild is fine.

Go for an industrial one such as Norbar instead of a bike brand. Ideally it will come with a calibration certificate.

    Sitting, standing, scrunching, folding!
    So many permutations!

Wonder how many traps they have and if they follow the rule that you can’t use one if someone is next door.

This could take a long time.

I spent sometime last night playing around with Google password manager as it seems to be the most popular.

Can it generate passwords to replace existing passwords?
I couldnt see how to do it.

My method of bedding pads on bike and car.

Ensure the disc is clean if using a different make / compound of pad.

A few gentle stops to shape the pad to disc.
Then get the pads hot. I find a big long hill and apply my brake and pedal hard until the pads fade. That means they get hot so they stop retarding. This burns off the binding compound.

Then ride with no brakes to cool everything.

This method is advised by Magura, Mintex and Ferodo.

It can also revive glazed pads.

For commuting I went 1×9. Range of gears is fine and it enabled me to keep using my old 9 speed stuff retired from my MTB. See below.

On my MTB I always said I couldn’t see the point of 1 x but converted to 1×10.

Main benefit was a clutch rear mech and getting rid of the front mech on my Maverick which was always awkward to get just right.

I assume all the above are available with prescription lenses ( as you are short sighted) and the prices quoted are for normal lenses?

Check your loft insulation is of the current required depth.
It has to be for the work to signed off.

We found out the hard way with a boarded loft.

Where will that money be spent? Surely it will not cost that much.

I remember this stuff from over 20 years ago as a coating for exhaust manifolds.

You buy the kit to apply it yourself. Though I never tried it.

    Looks good on bikes.

    Loved reading the Maverick review.
I still have my ML7.5 as my main full susser and it still makes me smile every time I ride it.
It now has 1 x 11 which was one of the best mods I have done.

I didn’t realise Tesa did it. Though I was wondering if there was any industrial tape that would do the job.

There is and now I know. Thanks.

Small under saddle storage with Dynaplug racer, multi tool, quick link, spare Dynaplugs and Co2 inflator and co2. Small pump in back pocket and phone.

If it’s a middle of winter ride then also whistle and survival space blanket in back pocket.

If I am that hurt I need survival then I will not be able to get in a bag and will need to wrap the blanket around me.

I am now approaching mid 50’s and I have noticed weight going on much easier.
Probably due to several factors such as a desk job, age, much more available food all around me.

Having two young boys I need to stay fit.

My solution is to eat smaller portions, eat more healthy food, not to snack between meals and cycle to work.

It’s still hard not to put the fat on around my middle.

In my instance it’s purely mental. Resist the temptation of all the food around me.

Cycling to work is the easy bit as I really enjoy that.

The thing is most overweight people didn’t actively choose to be overweight, a mixture of factors can land them in the situation of having a higher than ideal BMI and limited time/resources to address it.

True but these people didn’t wake up overweight one morning. It went on gradually. Eating more than energy expended.

Lack of will power prevented them doing something about it.

    Eat less. Exercise more.
    There is no secret.
I do say this to people if they need advice.

Silky here too. So much better than the cheap one I used to have.

It’s cleared some pretty big trees on the trails plus done loads in the garden.
