32-19 on hilly riders on my 29er and for the Whinlatter Challenge the other week.

I wish I’d gone 32-20 as it was a hilly barsteward.

32-18 or even 32-16 on flattish rides

Why spend a fortune on a good bike and buy cheap (read thin) inner tubes?

Just had a look and I took this of rider 66 and his mate while I was packing up the car. Sorry but that’s all I took as I was riding most of the time.

Nice job mate.We were together for a good bit of the second lap but i honestly can not say i have had cramp that bad, that many times, in both legs. as you herd!!!

You were crying out loud at times

Make sure you get in to SSUK SSUK LINKY The beer hides the cramp but be quick as there are only about 5 or 6 spaces left.

Not sure on my place as I didn’t ask

It should be online later on tonight they said.

Time 4hr 19min and possibly the secong SSer back and possibly the first vetran SSer back (there were only 2 vets on the list )

Nice to race back against Stoner from on here and race him home as we both cramped up a lot near the end.

Note to organisers – Great event, well put together trails, jolly marshalls, but please can you put in a second water stop half way round on the second loop next year and what about a tee shirt?

The rigid SS is my main bike, but I can fit it with gears in an hour or so if needed.

I’ve got a geared Cotic BFe collecting dust, as well as a geared road bike and a spare SS if anything happens to number 1 bike.

I’ll be playing, just got to choose which SS gear to run on the 29er.
19 or 20 on the back?

Although the climbs are on fire roads are there any killer hills?

Meeting up and drinking beer is more important.

Yeh, but don’t tell the wife when I’m going out on my “training” rides

How long’s the lap and how long is the cycling part of the event taking place, then? 8 miles and 4 hours?

Chill out, just ride your bike at whatever speed you want to and stop riding when you want to.

    How long is the race?

    Stop using the race word……

Some people manage just one of the normal 3 or 4 laps but drink beer half way round shouting and gearing at the “racers”
