    I use Racing Ralph's in the summer but for the all but the wettest winter riding I use 29er 2.55" LT's and run them tubeless around 25psi.

    I love mine with either standard brakes when used in SS mode and when used with gears dual control shifters work really well.

    I've only just seen this and haven't time to read through everything so sorry if it's been said already, but from G's 2nd post he says

    I think its a footpath, but starts life as a bridleway

    I was always led to believe once it's got bridleway status it can't be down graded to a footpath

    As you've got cat's, hamsters and mice I'd avoid any type of terrier.

    I've a border terrier and the above are classes as sport
