It would be a XO set up with Noir 3.3 TM crankset and a powerglide cassette.

Do your thumbs do the same shifting jobs on the same paddles/shifters on both Shimano and SRAM thumb shifters?

I seem to remember someone said they were different but I can't remember.

    Hi Mark and family

Your walking more a day than most of us sitting on here I guess.

Don't rush your comeback. I wish I was somewhere near Brighton to help you back on your bike.

Maybe a short break from the north west is in order?

I've a 2.2d Honda Civic 56 plate and the engines fine.

The rest of the car is the worrying bit, with creaks and groans all the time and the suspension is crap now.

So your question old tdi engines fine, high mileage crappy cars not fine

    Slight highjack,

Thinking of one for the wife to use to and from work 12 miles city traffic and occasional weekend use 4k to 6k miles a year.

Is the Mini Cooper S too OTT or would it nearly be as much fun in the standard Mini Cooper petrol?

    "What can I expect"

Aches and Pains, the wife who's a couple of years older than me warned me but I didn't believe her.

    My god she was right………

    Getting old sucks…….

    Happy Birthday by the way

Now it's all over I've been talking to Finn's Dad about a wet the babies head and bacon bap ride in a couple of weeks time.

I hope you can make it.

    Don't tell anyone of course

JohnClimber – Just realised your picture above is almost a copy of the one on the niner fork picture!

    Matthew

I've still not ridden the bike since it's build on Monday, as the wife (rightly so) won't let me out for a ride in case my stitches in my calf split open.

Maybe around Wednesday, definatly on Thursday

For those who have followed this thread I just thought I'd let you know that mum lost her long battle against Alzeimers this morning.

Both died of different things and within 17 days of each other.

They are happy and at rest now.

Oh yeh, blonde day today I guess.

I should have taken the photo more to the left as I'm sure the correct label was the same price.

Load your bike as normal and save the £15 and spend it on beer instead

It's getting earlier and earlier each year.

Why do you need a bigger rotor on a rigid bike, it's hardly a downhill bike is it?

On the downside the frame is quite whippy and if you catch it wrongly the back end can feel a bit disconnected from the front.

Oh shit, that's how I got the gash

incidentally I ride a 19" 26er so would I be looking at a large Niner do you think?

I'm 5'8" with a 31" inside leg and the Medium frame seems to fit perfect

Just received mine today, and just been comparing against a Lupine Betty in the field at the bottom of the garden.

They throw out quite a different light (colour and spread)

    Great review

    Hope you're not eating

This Saturday I was racing down off Long Mynd and my rear wheel washed out so I used my calf as a brake on a jagged rock.

And today before it was redressed for the first time,
    It's getting better

I picked up a great bargin from Chevin Cycles on an AIR9 yesterday.

I hung spare but heavy bits off it, the frame fork, bar, stem, front derailier and build costs for under a grand and weight just under 24lbs.

Not ridden it hard as yet as the stitches in my calf haven't healed from this weekends crash, so can't review it as yet

lol at JC – where is that – shin? how'd ya do it?

It's my right calf and feels fine today thank goodness.

It happened when my back wheel tried to overtake my front wheel at around 30mph on a right hand corner and I used my leg as a brake
