Can any locals tell me if there are any good pubs or places to eat very close to the start for a meal at 12 o'clock on the Saturday before we start?

Maybe we could meet up there on route?

As long as it stays dry I think the downhill Afon Arban will be our option as we'd miss out the Moel Prysgau point if we take the longer southern option.

Country File is usually very good at forecasting for the week ahead.

Today they said the temps will be dropping down it around 10 by Thursday with a chance of frost up in Scotland, but no real rain to worry us.

Friday should be dry so fingers crossed for a good weekend and hopefully it won't be as warm as it was today.

I've a 20" and used to be able to ride it along streets and around corners, but I never mastered the standing still riding.

I've not been on it for a coulpe of years and I'm rusty, so I need a refresher when I get a couple of hours spare

I used the one recommended by Jon at Just riding along.

I can't remember what they were called but they did a great job and were cheap.

From memory they were around about here

I'd consider it if going downhill (anticlockwise) but not up.

Going down it is our Plan A.

If it doesn't rain between now and then it may stay in our plans.

    What do the locals say?

Come on give us WRT virgins more info about the "bridleway that goes through checkpoint 12"

Anout 30% very quiet (I hope) road here, but 120 miles over 48 hours I fancy gears and full suss over rigid single speed.

As it's not a race so it's comfort and an enjoyable time for me.

If it's a trail centre then it has to be the the long section of Kirrochtree after the Heart Break Hill climb

    Stuart, ref your blog

Geoff's been told and is riding with us.

I couldn't reply on the blog, sorry

Bivvy bag and a shared tarp incase they are full up.

With all these bothies I won't be taking the trailer now, I've just picked up this retro saddle bag from Carradice to take the strain off my old back.

PS Three of our group look like there are bailing, so Stuart might have a couple of spaces spare, but you'd better give money to his nominated charity to get in.

    Yep.

Our little gang of 8 might have 3 bailers on it.

I've emailed Stuart to ask if he has a reserve list to contact.
