After 3 years of riding with bent bars on my 4 bikes
    1 x Jones H bars
    2 x Carnegies
    1 x Mary

I feel that riding with your "normal" bars is just wrong, I don't know how you all ride with these bars as I feel they offer me such an elbows out and un natural arm wrist/position.

Not us, on Saturday it was a damp forest bothy for us lot.

Sunday saw us at the Blue Bell at Langurig. After 2 days of riding and 2 or 3 beers we were merry but not pi$$ed. We made camp before dark 3 miles away from the pub.

We left all 4 bikes unlocked out side a pub while getting fed and merry, then next to us in the field nearby while we slept.

They weren't nicked, maybe it was the sheep shit camouflage hiding them.

I like how Stuart didn't give a dam about how many check points anyone did and filed the papers in the bin.

Just think of the weight saving next year. No pen…..

What a great weekend, how long before you lost interest in counting the grid ref's. We started to forget about them about 11am on Sunday morning.
A great event with a 90 miles ride/push/wade with an average of just 6.4mph

2 bags on the front survived the back garden wheelie test well.
If it doesn't work well I can always put them on my back as the rucksack will only have water and a couple of changes of cycling clothes as the Carradice saddle bag is ace and holds loads

alfachippy – I do like how you've invertered your smaller saddle bag just behind the bars. I might steal that idea if it will fit.

There's a really alarming number of singlespeeds doing this event, do you know it's in Wales?

I was thinking the same, I've got 2 SS's I could use but the full bouncer with gears is coming this weekend.

I can't imagine how difficult climbing out of the saddle will be on a SS what with all that weight on the bike swinging around underneath you

I just called Tracey at the Aleppo. She says if I could call her on Thursday evening with the food order from their menu they will open up around 11.30 for us and make sure the food will be ready and waiting.

So order here but keep it simple for me.

    Lasange x 1
