We have a few night rides to the south and west of the area that we do in the evenings

I’ve a local 3 hour loop taking in a the main points from above and very little road use, it’s hardly testing but good for training as there’s nearly always a strong head wind.

Looks towards Parbold, Billinge for any hills though.

Llandegla is an hour away in the car and the lakes are 90 mins away as are the Peaks and north Wales.

mate of mine recently admitted to being addicted to brake fluid. When I quizzed him on it he reckoned he could stop any time….

I went to the cemetery yesterday to lay some flowers on a grave. As I was standing there I noticed 4 grave diggers walking about with a coffin, 3 hours later and they’re still walking about with it. I thought to myself, they’ve lost the plot!!

I was at a cash point yesterday when a little old lady asked if I could check her balance, so I pushed her over.

A new Middle East crisis erupted last night as Dubai Television was refused permission to broadcast ‘The Flintstones’. A spokesman for the channel said. “A claim was made that people in Dubai would not understand the humour, but we know for a fact that people in Abu Dhabi Do.”

My daughter asked me for a pet spider for her birthday, so I went to our local pet shop and they were £70!!! Balls to this, I thought, I can get one cheaper off the web.

Went around to a friend’s house today. His wife was sat there with their new-born baby. She asked if I’d like to wind it. I thought that was a bit harsh so I gave it a dead leg instead.

I start a new job in Seoul next week. I thought it was a good Korea move.

I was driving this morning when I saw an RAC van parked up. The driver was sobbing uncontrollably and looked very miserable. I thought to myself ‘that guy’s heading for a breakdown.’

On holiday recently in Spain I saw a sign that said ‘English speaking Doctor’ – I thought, ‘What a good idea, why don’t we have them in our country?’

I’ll have a go but I won’t be up your way with work for a couple of months now.

My ribs feel 90% better, but my left hip and left shoulder still hurt enough that I can’t sleep on that (my prefered) side.

Ibuprofen is my best friend but I’m back on the bike twice a week now, but only up to half speed and distance.

I just need to shift the Christmas and laid up lb’s I’ve piled on.

One tip – keep the rubber on the deck if you’re not clipped in….

Llandega has an event on tomorrow and Penmachno hold water is oceans.

I’d do the Marin Trail, old school but it’s matured great since the traffic heads to Llandegla.

I think on reflection this has to be the best event I’ve been to since SSWC 2007.

Thanks again to all for making it such a great day out.

They did promise us great weather and they delivered it.

A fantastic event, big thanks to everyone of the organisers, marshalls, etc and a great bunch of riders.

I rode from the back after filming the start until I was lapped when that was my queue to stopand take loads of photos in all the technical areas which I’ve still to sort out….later
