Was thinking the same only yesterday while out and need the same length of battery life, Dirty Riever 200km in April
I just checked that my GONASS is turned off but my blue tooth was on (although I’ve never used it) and it’s not good to hear that you cant use it while it’s charging.
My normal Garmin Dakota will be used for navigation and stats, but as it hasn’t got a heart rate connection I was hoping to use the 25 for this.
I guess I’ll just have to take it easy while the 25 is charging up from a small power bank on the go after it runs out.

To Greg, Kitt and those who take portraits.

Do you ask strangers that you meet in the street to be your subject?

What do you say to them to get them to stand where you want them to?

    Do you pay them anything?

Or are they friends who you ask?

Lots to remember, but the one that I remember most fondly from this year is the terror where we nearly got cut off by the fast in coming tide between Little Hilbre Island on the way over to a bivi on Hilbre Island itself

Just watched the one on my link above and I liked Top Gear.

But this episode wasn’t good enough to make me subscribe to yet another thing each month.

    Really enjoyed the film tonight.

Amazing how they bought Peter Cushing back and Carrie Fisher right at the end.
Hope she’s OK after her flight today and the bad news about her health

how do you find it? is it noodly?
for reference i went from a fox 32 on my old orange 5 to an old style pike and found i over-steered everywhere until i got dialed in.

What the hell is a “noodly” ride?
I’m no reviewer of any sort, all I know that the Lauf’s suit my type of XC wheels on the ground, mincing down gnarly stuff style of riding, they simply “absorb the ride” as their logo says.

Did half of it this weekend just gone
Which half John? and did you bothy?

The northern half plus Newcastleton’s 7 Stane, didn’t make the bothy as the pub owner at Kielder offered us the grass in front of his pub for the night and it would have been rude to refuse.

Agree with much of the above , but I will be experimenting with a 4.8 tyre up front and changing back to the Lauf Carbonara fork for the winter.

Hoping to see if the bigger tyre and Lauf give good squish performance compared to the Bluto.

Jumbo Jims in the summer, Bud and Lou in the winter (both 4.8); job done.

Agreed with both of the above points, 4.8″ especially if you ride on beaches from time to time.

Here’s mine early this morning after a beach bivi out

I am frightened to go back to Keilder after all the kit I wore out the last time .

Of course it could be dry,

Did half of it this weekend just gone and it killed a set of brake pads. Take spares in April.

If you’re in reach of North Wales or over in the North West of England?

Head over along the A55 to Anglesey for a 10am ride off on Saturday.

If you fancy a December beach side bivi, there is a nice weather forecast for Friday night then feel free to join us for the evening & night as well, meeting up at 6pm at a pub before driving to the rides car park.
