I’ll be up there with the wife. Done it several times now, it’s a bit fun dodging 1000’s of other riders. Note to self “fit the loud horn”

I’ll have a black and red cycling top on and we’re riding a black tandem, say hello.

Aiming to arrive around 6pm for fish and chips before the official start time of 7pm.

It was great and really enjoyable.

Plus it’s fantastic that Dr Who is once again older than me.
Now if only James Bond could be 48+ I’d be over the moon

“2) larger surface area tyres = more space for thorns”

But I’ve found that the lower pressures = less chance of thorns being pushed all the way in

There are tickets available now that they must be getting back off the touts, I really want to see her but I’m not paying the current asking price of £424.50, same ticket as above with a food hamper and a program.

Bloody rip off, but I would pay £135.

Never use a back pack if you want to cover the miles.

Hang your gear on your bike in frame and saddle bags.

If you’ve more gear than that you are travelling with too much gear.

Love mine, it’s by far the best fitting and most comfortable helmet I’ve owned.
I’ve buy one again without question.

When you say “flat spot” do you mean they feel a bit egg shaped?

If they are egg shaped cure them like this

    Deflate the tyres.
Spray silicon spray or similar or soapy water around the bead area.
    Inflate to 40+ psi.
    Leave overnight.
Lower pressure to what you want.
    Sorted

You won’t get anything to go that much wider if you stick with the stock rims.

To widen any fat tyre you will need to look at 80 or 100mm rims.

I’ve just had a quick measure and you can fit a Clown Shoe rim and a Big Fat Larry up front if you want but on a 1 x 10 set up you can’t go over 80mm wide on the back.

The price drop could be because of the £ to $ rate at the moment.

And I guess it’s so you buy them from the UK and not from the states.

As Andy says above, what about the Octavia vRS diesel.

Similar priced to the cars on your list but better spec and larger for carrying bikes.

Just ordered mine as my new company car

Knards may be expensive but I’ve got nearly 1000 miles on mine and they look good for at least 4 times this distance.
So, miles per £ I think they are great value, crap on wet roots but great value all the same

    A bit tardy, then….

    Get a petrol vRS then

    JohnClimber

Why not the new Octavia vRS diesel estate.
It’s economical, 0-60 in 8 seconds, same blue at the WRX, cheap to run, bigger inside than the mark 1 and the WRX and with cheaper insurance.
I’m hoping to get the OK on one of these tomorrow.

Are you using word as your email editor?

If so disable it, Word email editor looks like Outlook but it isn’t and any composed messages will go straight to the outbox

Yes it is set up like that with word, how do I disable it please?

    Idiot proof instructions please.

    Cheers

Hi is outlook “offline” ? look in bottom right corner. If so, right click and untick work offline.

This advice assumes you are using exchange server for email not pop3/imap.

Holy crap – the BB looks really high on that! Loving the look of it though! How does the rear end compare to a normal high vol 29er tyre?

It’s an EBB so could be lowered a about 1/2″ if needed as it is at the top ATM.

As for rear end clearance the Angus/Rudy Fat is built for mud (unlike the USA made 29er+’s)
