We didn’t choose the platform that we are currently using and can’t take “control” from the current owner.

Is that why it’s a closed forum, John? And who is the ‘current owner’ then..?

All I know it’s a very easy to hack basic old fashioned site and we are in talks with the original owner admin but are bashing our heads against a wall

A UK fat bike moderator here.

No one wanted the job of moderating or helping on line running the site.

There have been a few issues of admin “throwing the toys out of the pram” and now there is only the very patient Jason who has to deal with hundreds of spam accounts trying to kill the site and those who have tried to register on there a daily basis.

Jason has been away on holiday and he has a job, a family, a life and also wants to ride his bike from time to time. So can’t be sitting on the site 24/7, it’s voluntary you know.

We didn’t chose the platform that we are currently using and can’t take “control” from the current owner.

To help Jason who I’ve asked to look in on this thread.

Please can you list below the forum user name you registered with and the approximate day that you entered it in the site.

Or simply register again tonight and write the details below.

    Thanks for understanding.

I rode with one of these http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/items.asp?CategoryID=440&Name=Goldtec+OneKey+Rings on my Alfine’d bike several years back but TBH I couldn’t notice any difference.

In all conflicts there will always be collateral damage, so what about a well placed nuke?

Yes but I doubt it’d be any quicker than a trail ht with 120mm forks. It goes without saying, much slower than my fs.

Would you still say the same if you rode one of these?

Just a shame there isn’t a Salsa distributor here in the UK anymore.

    So
the US price of the Bucksaw 1 is $4999 = £3,130.83
the UK price of the Bucksaw 1 is £4999 = $7,981.90

If only someone could go back in time and tell everyone how futile and stupid ANY religion actually is and ban them all before they start.

They want us to send in ground troops so they can take more hostages and capture our weapons to use against us. The simple thing would be to send in more and more bigger bombs.

No it’s not full of his normal stunt’s but for those moaning have you tried to ride tricks on a 33lbs bike with 4″ wide wheels.

You can tell the bike was going back to Mongoose the way he parked it in the sea at the end.

Interestingly/annoyingly it seems the front axle is 142 x 15 according to Jeff’s fb. Appreciate that compromise isn’t really in Jeff’s vocab but it seems bizarre to go with a new axle standard, especially given that current owners won’t be able to move existing front wheels across.

I guess if you/we can afford a Jones then you/we can afford a 3rd wheel for the bike and swap over when needed.

We’re going in October, I spoke to a nice lady on the 7 Stanes phone number and she said that at a meeting on Monday it was confirmed it will be open before October, so it should be in a couple of weeks for sure.

Depends when it is and if we can bring the dog to watch as well (no dog sitter)

They do need to stipulate a fat bike is any bike with a tyre as big or larger than a Surly Endomoph the original fat tyre (29er+’s are only semi fat)

So it’s a definatly maybe from me?
