Are you telling me I need another bike…
Is that what your saying…is it…it is isnt it…

you should be OK, but if you need me to tell you to buy another bike then go and buy a fat bike before the 5th Dec

Will the Scouse one have a min tyre width requirement…?
    It sounds like a laugh.

It is do’able on a plus 3″ for 90% of the ride as it’s very soft in places, but it’s a ride made for a Fat Bike really.

    What you got?

Took the plunge as my LBS price matched CRC and got the Edge 25 with HR strap.
72 miles and it was perfect, HR on a measured 50km flat blast training ride was spot on.
10/10 for what I need it for

On my local Merseyside sand the 29er+ is not a match for 4″ or 5″ Fat Tyres 75% of the time

Everyone with a fatbike didn’t do a ride.
There’s quite a few folks that don’t need telling what bike to ride on any given day…

    Dear Stu.
I put the first 3 lines in my first post just for you because I knew you’d have something to say on the matter……

    It reads
“And before some of you start…….
I know that you can ride your bike, any bike on any day that you want to and you don’t need to do a song and dance about it……”

and the last line as well
“Ride it if you want to, don’t ride it if you don’t want to.”

    17 riders so far

In June I rode from Hexham to the coast at Tynemouth on the Fat Bike, then every beach north to Berwick before taking the Sandstone Trail back to Hexham.
The Sandstone trail is great but the heavy rain beforehand and overnight made it a bit tough going through the cow and sheep fields around the many, many, many gates.
Plus use a GPS with the route GPX as it’s very easy to miss the small signs on route.

West to East of you want more chance of the wind on your back.

Northern Sales Rep for Europe’s market leading industrial PVC hose manufacturer.
Dealing with customers in well over a dozen very different markets and industries.
Started 8 weeks ago and absolutely love it.

Worked for their competitors in the past always looking up to this company.
No pressure on sales, targets or pressure down from the management as it’s mainly a PR role.
Now that I’ve got my foot in the door I’m here to stay and the results are already rolling in.

    Thanks all for the support.

Not that I have anything to do with it, I simply wouldn’t go to the area if the bridge wasn’t open toll or not.

It might only be a bridge but it’s and essential link avoiding busy roads.

    JohnClimber

Used this bridge about a dozen times and never once saw anyone to collect my money.

    JohnClimber

Why don’t they pay £15k a year each to 2 part timers to take it in turns to sit in the toll booth from 9am until 5pm every day 7 days a week to collect a quid from each person over the bridge each way?

Say 1000 people use this bridge a week
    Employment goes down
    Wages get paid
    7 day coverage
it won’t cut numbers using the bridge
£30,800 bill get’s paid to Network Rail
excess money goes towards the repairs

    JohnClimber

They stopped collecting the toll several years ago for some reason

And why do “The council have to give Network Rail £30,800 a year to keep the bridge open for pedestrians.”?

So, when the 100th mag (been biying since issue 9) lands on our door step there will be a tee shirt in there will there?
