Yep I had it back in March.
Knocked me off my feet for 48 hours and I was back to normal within a month.
In that time at night in bed I could feel my lungs repairing themselves… Such a weird feeling.
No tests back them of course, but I volunteered to donate blood plasma and the results came back that I had had Covid19.
So I’m donating more plasma this month to try and help the fight.
The wife had it too as she passes it on to me but she wasn’t tested, but it hit her worse than me, but all ok now.
We don’t want it again though

To the UK (post Brexit) will the import duty still be 4.8% on bike parts and 15% on complete bikes from North America?
And what are (will they be) the taxes and duties direct from Taiwan too please

I know it’s not the normal STW type of thisn or full on bike packing but more and more are showing an interest in pack raft to further their adventures.

Well, for the first time 5 manufactures of pack rafts have got together for a free meet up with around 25 pack rafts of all shapes and sizes for you to try out.

This time in 2 weeks time some of us will be at the meet up over in North Wales.
For those unsure if it’s worth the trip here are some of the weekend highlights that I’d just updated on the main meet up page, I estimate that there will be around 50 of us there and around 10 meet up helpers who I couldn’t have done this without (cheers all) and around 25 different makes and models of test pack raft to try out on the water
    ————————————–
Jason Taylor Taylor of Tirio and his team have kindly offered to lead a Saturday afternoon taster session that can only be booked on the day for a minimal charge (cash please)

Andy Toop will be down from Back Country Scotland with a range of around 10 assorted Alpaca
Packrafts of different makes and models for you to have test paddles in.

Tim Clark of Longshore International who will be up with 4 or 5 of his Longshore Packrafts.

Jason Taylor from Tirio will have a full range of Kokokelli pack rafts to demonstrate.

Sven Schellin and Thomas Butzmannn from packrafting.de with pack rafts from MRS and Anfibio

Zach from Kokopelli has kindly sent me one of their all new 2019 (for up to grade 4) white water heavy duty pack rafts called the Reccon for testing on the lake and the calm river nearby over the weekend. Personally I can’t wait to try this one out on the rough stuff after getting training from Jason of Tirio in a month or two on a 2 day WW course.

If you are in a hire car and don’t pay by midnight the day AFTER using it the hire company will receive the fine and they will pass this straight on to you with interest and admin charges.
    Pay it now…

Very happy with my Dacia Logan MCV (Estate), Don’t laugh until you’ve tried one.
After years of flash company cars I needed a run around just to get me to and from work and trips out with the bike in the back.
With it’s seats down it’s long enough to car camp and sleep in.
It has cruise control, eletric window all round, air con, sat nav, front and rear parking sensors, DAB radio, USB media connection.

It’s petrol and returns 45mpg and is nippy enough to 60.
Ok so it’s not got a flash badge but now they made out of eastern Europe rather than India they are reliable and well built.
And for just £122 a month with a low insurance costs (I’ve not got a full no claims bonus) you can’t go wrong.
Forget the badge, “do the maths” and go and have a look at one.

I had a OnePlus5 for the last couple of months.
After 3 different Samsung’s and I Phones with work I think it’s the best phone and phone camera that there is out there.
Amazingly fast charging, long battery life and the camera is amazing

    Edited in Snapseed

I’ve gone for sim only as my Samsung contract was up at just £12 a month (after buying the camera for £500), it’s still half the price of the latest “main stream” phones on a 3 contract.
Get the otter box case cover for it, it’s already saved mine after a drop.

Depending on the type of sand.
If it’s soft then the fatter the better.
I guess the Sandblaster beach will be firm. Then it’s Schwalbe Big One’s front and back for sure.

    Visit Navy pier
Stay nearby or on the main street.

Avoid anywhere out of the tourist area
