I also looked at the Orange Crush and would have loved to get on however I plumbed for the Genesis Altitude 10 due to its adjustable fork also I got a brand new 09 Altitude for the bargain price of £600!!

I was looking at the Abyss too, But like bregante said I couldnt find any reviews either. In the end I went for a Genesis Altitude 10 I got to say…I love it!!

Alpine bikes have 2 last time I spoke to them(about 2 weeks ago). 1 in their Aberdeen store and another in Inverness. They said it would be no problem to get one shipped down for me to look at.

Brakes fixed. I bought a shimano brake bleed kit and done it myself was a doodle to do, I got alot of air from lines, however the brakes were still traveling in close to the grips so I fiddled with the grub screw that winds the levers in and out. I wound them out and its alot better!!

thanks for replies. I bought the bike online so its a bit awkward to take it back. I'll speak to my LBS about bleeding them.

    Cheers

Sorry guys the brakes are Shimano M575. Yes the brake levers are butted right up against my grips I was trying to brake with 2 fingers but when pulling hard to try and stop the lever was crushing my two remaining fingers on the grip.

I know I'll need to move them Inboard but surely there should'nt be so much play in the brake lever?

The brakes feel soft. Thats why I ask if maybe they need bled

    thanks

I own a boxer called Ralph. I just got my new bike the other day and he wasnt happy wouldnt go near it. Although I was cycling up and down the street and he was following close behind.

He's useless in the heat tho. He goes threw more water than a steam train.

Very friendly, Great with kids, I'll have to report back on wether he's a good trail dog tho.

I would post a picture but god only knows how to do that.

I have a Boxer called RALPH. The name suits his personality to a T. I think DAVE or Barry could be good names.

HI no I dont think you've missed anything, unless you connect a audio cable from your amp to your tv. Another option maybe to do it the otherway round i.e use RCA audio cable to connect PS3 to tv then tv to amp? I dont know if that would work just an idea.

I dont know what kind of set up your running but on my amp i can turn up individual speakers, it will be in you options menu somewhere. I run a Sony amp. I dont use my tv speakers at all.

Thanks for all your comment guys. It has really given me more to think about. I might just stick to finding a Ht with a good 100mm fork and then decide in a years time what I really need.

thanks for replys guys. Do you think I would be better sticking with something with 100mm travel until I more experienced? Or do you need more for places like Glentress/Inners red?
