I’ve only got a yellow block thingy. The new brakes I’m fitting came with this yellow block, a new olive and connector insert.

I can’t find a uk set-up set. Maybe I should try and swap them over. So uwe-r is it as easy as you make it sound? What do you mean by levelling off the calliper on the bar? Do you mean the brake lever?

I currently have a genesis altitude 10 hard tail. I tested the orange five pro about 2 months ago at Innerleithen and Glentress. So it’s by no means an impulse buy, or I’d have put an order in there and then. Is it worth trying a laperrie zesty or whatever theyre called?

Define XC= everything except downhill. I’ve never raced so just for leisure. I’ve tried the bike I have
In mind and I loved it. However I have tried no other full suspension.

And no body has mentioned my desired choice yet.

Hi Dair, Any news on davey? We done WHW last week and seen loads of “wanted” posters. He certainly picked a bad week to go on the run! The weathers been shocking.

We kept our eyes peeled but seen nothing.

We all have our fingers crossed.

Northwind- I was up at Carron Valley for the first time since about September too so Im not sure when works were complete.

FC do seem to be spending money at CV. Their re-laying the car park this week and obviously they’ve done Eas Dubh this year and The runway last year.

Hopefully something changes and maybe the Forestry can deliver a trail centre that central Scotland could be proud of.

Have you been up recently northwind? They’ve re done Eas Dubh. Few more drop offs and relayed trail much faster now.

I guess it all comes down to money, wither that’s from EU or local government everyone’s a bit short this weather.

I’m sure the FC know the potential of Carron Valley.

Lol cheers for responses. My brain is screaming “don’t do it you idiot, you don’t go off road!” my heart says “go on it’ll be a laugh!!”

yeah but if one day my little girl was standing alone at a train station and a idiot approached she could use natural reflex moves to disable him enough to retreat safely.

The down side I experineced and could never learn due to my nature was to be truly great at it you needed to have a good imagination for violence.

So your probaly right, not a great approach for a kid.

Gentlemen. Thanks for all your advice and comments. After careful consideration I’m now the proud owner of a Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean(2201.50.00). I also managed to get a very sizable discount:)

I looked at a Rolex Submariner too, but in my own humble opinion I prefered the braclet on the Planet Ocean. Plus the price, £4900!

Horses for courses, We my face lit up when I seen the Omega in the metal.

Benz. New or used Rolex? I think the Submariner and sea dweller are gorgeous. However alot more expensive. Would the extra investment be worth it?

    Thanks

Thanks for all your advice guys. I’m heading into Glasgow tomorrow to investigate these further. I never really liked the idea of a second hand watch, but it sounds like there are huge saving to be had going that route. Head says used, heart demands new! Lol.

Bullheart: I’m doing great, I’ve been a very lucky guy if truth be told. I found cyst and doc sent me for a ultra sound as a precaution, it flagged up a tumour deep within my testicle which would never have been detected until it was huge otherwise. The most horrible word I know now is orchidectomy (testicle removed) lol. It’s a small price to pay for my life I suppose. I’ve been cancer free for 3 months now, I’ve never been ill, no radiotherapy or chemo needed and mentally (the bit I was worried about) I’m doing great too.

So Im feeling kind of good right now, god knows there’s at lot of people not as fortunate.

Thanks for the comments and check those balls!!

    Cheers

Appartently they have a visitor centre. Supposedly it's buried underground with only the roof as a clue to it being there at all. That much I can find online.

mines is always buffering(stop starting while playing).

That's your network that's the problem

Any ideas how to fix it molgrip?

My PS3 fat was terribly noise and it was sat on carpet next to tv cabinet. MY mate has my old launch model and its still going strong, Must just have been a bad one I had.

I'm on my forth PS3 now!!

1st one I gave to my mate as a gift for letting me stay with him while I was waiting on house being built.

Bought myself another one when I moved in. Blu-ray drive failed.

Sony gave me a recon one.

Its failed now too so I'm now onto the slim.

PS3. Fat PS3 Suffers badly with fan noise, runs really hot too(could quite litrally heat a room!!!).

My FAT(launch model) packed in last week I went straight out and bought a slim(new version) OMG quite as a mouse and gets no were near the temp my FAT did.

PS3 doesnt look out of place in the livingroom with the rest of the AV gear, Xboxes are ugly as hell and belong in a kids bedroom IMO.

I would say the streaming from your pc is much good tho In my experience mines is always buffering(stop starting while playing).

Blu ray player and games, media all in one box also you can turn it into a sky+ box and record tv straight to the hard disk!

Oh and I just found this out, Sony done a software update which supposedly made all PS3's 3-D READY!!!

    Awesome tool.

We did!!! We had to get rid of my girls 09 plate tigra when she lost her job.

They gave us £11,520 for it, It was only about 6 month old i think.

We bought it new for £10,400 hahahahahahahahahaha.

I obviously tried to get more by saying things like "oh come on mate we payed £13k for it only 4 months ago"

And they said "unfortunatly sir thats all we can offer you"

How we laughed on the way home.

Thanks WEBUYANYCAR.COM you pulled our arse from the fire there.

Ok I cancelled the mountain king because I can pick them up in halfords. So I've reserved maxxis high roller 2.35 and a MK vertical 2.3.(halfords doing a deal buy 1 get 1 half price.)

    Maybe worth experimenting with these?

Thanks rockthreegozy. Thats the only real complaint I have with my front MK2.2 It washes out sometimes. I've read what everyone thinks of Mountain Kings in general and I will change to something else once I've got time for some research.

More grip on the front end is what i need tho.

    cheers
