Cumberland pie is another. Like cottage pie but with a crumbly cheesy topping over the mash

Yes but you may be paying more than you need to.

Consider switching to an interest only mortgage for the property you’re letting. Presumably you’lll sell the property at a (much) later stage to pay off the balance , leaving you with s nice profit, which may or may not be subject to Capital Gains Tax (depending how long you lived there yourself)

Just ring the bank and ask if you’ve ever had PPI. Natwest were honest enough with me to say yes, can’t see why other banks won’t be.

They spend a few months pre-season at Akrotiri in Cyprus so that may coincide with the time you were in Lincoln

Try seetickets.com. I bought two tickets for the Manchester show (26/5/18) earlier tonight. Only (!) £82.50 plus booking fee per ticket

They’re based just outside Lincoln – RAF Scampton – so not entirely surprising ;-)

Quite typical with car rental companies theses days, particularly at airports.

You have a £1000/$1000/E1000 damage excess on a hire care. You can take out an insurance policy with the rental company to cover that excess, typically for a few pounds/dollars/euros per day, or you can pay the excess up front and then claim it back when you return the car undamaged. No other options

And what exactly is wrong with lack of ambition? What’s wrong with not wanting to climb the greasy pole?

I received an Email today essentially asking me to apply for a job as software development manager, managing a team of 6 developers.
Why on earth would I want to manage people? There are more important things in life than that. Not to mention the commute…

    Glad I’m a contractor now

Gary Fisher. Well, technically it was a shop demo ride & Gary was along, but I’m crap at hills so I only caught up with him right at the end

Mrs_D is watching it. I’m on here trying not to. Big Brother meets Blind Date meets Shallow Hal with a side helping of Geordie Shore. Jeez

I was checking out a recording studio in Bradford, pretty sure Gareth Gates was in the control room. Said hello, he said hello. No stutter

Andrew Eldritch asked me where the toilets were. Or was it Wayne Hussey or Craig Adams? Bradford uni 1984ish

According to MyFitnessPal, drumming is 260-300 kcal/hour. I guess this is an average, TH is more than average in terms of energy. It’s mostly an upper body workout as I think you can probably tell

Saw Foos live at Old Trafford a couple of years ago, and seen BBC footage of them from previous Reading festivals – still great live but the same old links between songs are getting a bit tired now. Just play the songs boys

If you happen to be passing through Canada at any time in the near future, you can get Crest whitening strips from Shoppers Drugmart (other drug stores are available)
Mrs_D swears by them. About $60 for a pack of 30

Cala’n Forcat (west coast) is ok if you like being surrounded by British & Irish families and not experiencing anything remotely Menorcan (or Spanish for that matter).
Ciutadella looked nice though – the old capital before Mahon (mayonnaise is named after Mahon)
Watch out for “salsa grehvi ” (gravy, yes, gravy)

Can’t agree more. So polite & friendly. And Canadians seem to me to be generally some of the few people left in the world who still seem to not dislike Britons.
Wish I could live here permanently (still here for a few more hours).

I’m jealous of all those orcas doing their thing for you Mikel. Fantastic photos. I got three photos of my humpback

Well we did a whale & marine safari out if Campbell River. Excellent. One humpback whale, several dozen sea lions and harbour seals, and more bald eagles than you can shake a stick at.
Also visited Butchart Gardens in Victoria, harbourfront at Nanaimo, wineries around Duncan and lots of arty/crafty places in around Qualicum Beach & Parksville.
Tofino is a good 3hr drive each way so we gave that a miss

    Thanks chaps.
For cars & bikes I like to do them in “showroom” condition so I don’t have to worry about all that pesky weathering ;-)
Nothing added to this kit that wasn’t in the box, other than the paint (Revell Aquacolours 99 Aluminium and clear gloss for the body shell) and some Bare Metal Foil for the chrome trim around the windows. Tamiya do make some great kits

    john_drummer

As with most Tamiya kits*, it’s a great build OOB. Spray painting with rattle cans is just too much, airbrush at 10-15psi allows manny thin coats without drips forming at the bottom of each wheel arch.

    * their 1:48 Sea Harrier is an exception :-(

finally… it’s finished (bar the number plates)

    1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL in 1:24 by Tamiya:

don’t know when I started this but I guess it was some time around February.

next car is a Tamiya 1:24 Ferrari La Ferrari with lots of add-ons.
    But before that I have a 1:6 Cylon Centurion, a 1:35 M113 APC and a 1:72 BK117 helicopter. Need to do something easy…
